Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds' Bright Lights documentary to premiere on HBO Published By Marriska Fernandes on Jan 05, 2017

Following the deaths of Hollywood legends Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, HBO decided to move up the release of the documentary titled Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds to January 7, 2017.

The documentary is a portrayal of the strong emotional bond shared between mother-daughter duo Fisher, 60, and Reynolds, 84. The trailer whips together their witty banter that will have you laughing out loud, while other scenes are so heartwarming you'll be giving in to the urge to instantly be with your own mom.

The trailer shows the ladies debating memory loss and old cell phones, while also giving glimpses at old family photos and home videos. Reynolds discusses her daughter's struggle with mental illness, which Fisher was always open to discussing.

The 95-minute documentary was shot over a year ago and received critical acclaim at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. It will make its debut on Saturday, January 7 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on HBO. ~Marriska Fernandes

Such a heart-breaking ending for two wonderful actresses whose work was enjoyable and memorable. Sad for their families.
