My teenaged kids and I absolutely loved this movie. It was so heartfelt and had a wonderful message.

GOOGLE...Are animals abused to make movies...Enjoy your popcorn ...and don't hide the facts...Hollywood makes money ...oh yeah and movies...

Don't believe everything you see in the media! The prerelease video was drastically edited and can't be believed. You have to question why the person filming took 15 months to release it if there was any concern about the animal well fare? Disappointed with TMZ for not first investigating that the clip was edited and distorted. Apparently the producer is an animal lover and has left his will to animal charities.

As a dog person, I enjoyed the concept of this movie and enjoyed it very much.

Love this film. It is definitely worth going to see.

Lovely movie. Mature theme, but the kids who filled the theatre I was in really enjoyed it and the messages. They applauded at the end. Good film for kids and adults....particularly pet owners. Don't let the bogus claim of animal cruelty stop you from seeing this worthwhile film.

Being dog owners we could really relate to this movie. We found it to be very enjoyable and would recommend it as a family movie. The dogs in the movie did not experience any trauma from what we could ascertain. TMZ, from what I read, put together more than one clip to come up with their criticism of the movie. I would believe that if a dog was not co-operative, then the scene was ended and tried again later. The clips put together make it look like the dog was forced and forced to do the scene whether they were cooperating or not. Being a dog owner, I know from experience that this sort of behaviour towards a dog simply does not work so why would the producers even try this tactic?

I laughed, I cried and I truly felt for the dog. The title was well chosen because I looked for his purpose in every life, and he had one. He brought joy and love to everyone whose life he was in, and it was that dog in every iteration had a beautiful purpose.

I really enjoyed this movie. My 7 yr old granddaughter loved it too and I think it was a way to give her an extra lesson about why and that animals also have to die but softened the reality by having the dog return in different forms and needs. It is always good to make and be able to see family rated animal movies as everyone can relate to the good feelings one receives from observing animals and especially from dogs. Great movie!!! Thanks for the opportunity to allow us to see it.

I really enjoyed this movie. I took my 12 year old daughter and we both cried several times through out the movie. Not only does it show the different lives that dogs have, it also shows their owners different lives. If you can relate to "Man's Best Friend" then you will feel the joys and hardships of this dog.

This is a movie that will pull at your heart strings. It brings you back to your childhood where you had a special dog that you just loved. One that you had hoped would never leave you and would be by your side when you went through all the changes in your life. This is the perfect movie to see with your family. When you leave the movie theater you will leave with a big smile on your face thinking once again of that dog you loved so much growing up and hoping that this story could have been about you and your dog.

I loved this movie, since I'm a dog owner and lover this movie was perfect. It's a tear jerker though. I very good family movie and I would encourage everyone to go see it.

It was great. How could you not like this movie? It moved along, never boring, and the dogs voice was just perfect and many funny moments to enjoy. The tears were rolling down our cheeks like crazy.

Very interesting movie -- utilizing an animal, viz a dog instead of a human relevant to the mystery of life, the existence of all life forms on earth, its purpose which has intrigue humanity through the ages since time immemorial and the belief in reincarnation of the varied human religion on earth.

It was a wonderful movie. One to be enjoyed by the whole family. A little sad at times, but it was wonderfully written! What an idea! I think my wife & I will enjoy seeing it again and recommend it to our family & friends. It was well worth the 100km trip to Ottawa. I don't know why Cineplex in Brockville is not on your contest list, it's only 25km away!

Wonderful meaning of life movie. If you are a dog lover you will & cry & totally understand !

I took my 14 year old daughter to the advanced screening of A Dogs Purpose and we both loved it. This movie drew on all of our emotions with lots of highs and laughs throughout and also a few tears from the whole audience. This was based on a novel and I would love to read the book now!

Heart warming. You have to watch to the very end, which is the best part. Criticisms recently are unfounded. Sad moments, but the storyline keeps it coming and helps cheer things up very quickly. For those of us who love dogs, whose dogs are the center of our life, this movie is a must see. Funny, touching and meaningful. The storyline follows through different existences in dog's lives. Acting is good, filming is good and it is not overdone with silly cartoonish stuff.

Great story about the life of a dog and a tearjerker for sure.

This movie is so wonderful and bring some kleenex, I'm so glad I had the chance to win tickets. It will move you within, acknowledged the animals and people and has a lot of heart.

Animal abuse no matter how you try to justify what happened to that German Shepard during filming...

It was a heartwarming family movie that reminds you why dogs make our lives better.

Unfortunately because of the recent controversy regarding the movie and animal cruelty my 22 year old daughter who buys only from companies who do no animal testing and is vegetarian did not want to go see this movie and as a consequence nor did I

I loved this movie from start to finish! I will definitely be seeing it again just to catch anything I might have missed the first time round. I do truly believe that each and every dog does indeed have a purpose and I love the way each dog was portrayed as to what their true calling was. You see, I myself lost my first dog just a short time ago. Shortly after I first adopted her I discovered she had the amazing skill of detecting when my blood sugar was low (although I did not know it until she woke me up the first time and many times after) The cast (dogs as well!) were all exceptionally well cast. The "passing" of each dog and "returning" as another was very tastefully done. I believe this movie would be enjoyed by all family members. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could indeed have our best friends return to us time and time again-Bravo on a wonderful movie!

The movie was heart warming coming from a dogs point of view it gives us a look in a different perspective and makes us think a little differently. Make sure to bring lots of tissues!

only saw bits and pieces on the net, did see the abuse thing. Total upset. How did some see it at the theater and go home to their dog. It's not released in theaters till 2 morrow

I loved this movie! It was funny, exciting, sad and very touching. It made me cry and I could hear other people in the audience sniffling around me. Even though it had these sad moments, it made me thankful for all the love I've received from all my dogs, over the years. After the movie, I couldn't wait to get home and snuggle with my beautiful friend and companion, Maggie. See the movie - you'll love it!

This film was made from the best seller book A Dog's Purpose and yes the film is like a best seller. The movie focus on life from a dog's perspective. It was heart felt and entertaining, making you think at the same time.The dog has many lives and all of them show love never ends.True friends are always with us, even when they leave. I truly enjoyed seeing this film. Thank you!
