Not great, but good enough for me.A decent effort to revitalize the 'golden era' of film making. I enjoyed the cinematography, set decorations, and costumes. The story and plot was predictable. The supporting actors were the surprise hits of this film for me. The band that performs the song in the first half of the new trailer is called 'Explosions in the Sky:The Only Moment We Were Alone' Go see this on the big screen.

An "Epic" film that only suffers from Nicole Kidman's performance.She is starting to show her age and her face appears to be frozen.Many emotional scenes and I was "wet" eyed a few times.They certainly don't make films like this anymore.Think "Gone With the Wind",although not nearly as good.

If you are looking for corny and predictable this is the movie to see. There is nothing new or out of the ordinary in fact it appeared as though they were making up the plot as they went along – very disappointing. The two redeeming factors where the beautifully shot landscapes and the magnificent use of the costumes my stars are based on these two items.
