The visual effects are as advertised... second to none. The storyline is nothing new at all. It kind of reminds me of FernGully. The performances are pretty solid but nothing spectacular. Overall I believe this movie is worth seeing but only in 3D or preferably in IMAX 3D. Without the benefit of 3D this movie would be nothing special.

One of the best movies I have ever seen. The plotline, though typical made the story easier to follow.(boy meets girl, boy turns into alien, etc.) Please see this movie! It's So exotic! I still remeber it all...

I had to comment that Avatar was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I am 61 years of age and I had no idea if I would like this movie but do doubt it was a movie for all ages. Thanks to the produces and actors that made this movie and the produces is inspired to make more. Marg

We definitely do not recommend this movie!!! I can't believe people love it and think it's the best movie ever. Are they 4 years old? The plot is incredibly cheesy and predictable, the acting is mediocre, the avatars don't look real, and I was even disappointed with the 3D - I was expecting to feel like things were jumping out at me, or like I was falling, etc. I've only experienced that with IMAX movies, so maybe it's better there. We, and everyone we know who has seen it, were disappointed. We definitely do not recommend (and will not be seeing any cheesy sequel)!
