Really enjoyed this movie - well worth seeing how the tragedy took place. Great characters played by great actors.

Saw this movie and thought it was great. It goes to show how the almighty dollar is so important, even more than human life. My thanks to Mark Wahlberg for this movie and bringing it to light. All the actors were great. I'd see it again. Rate this movie a 4 out of 5

Based on a true event. Very well done. Certainly turns up your compassion for the people that work on those rigs.

Great movie - The thought of being on that rig is terrifying. The negative reviews show a lack of compassion for real tragedy. It's not about the actor its about human suffering and survival. Not sure why the Walberg bashers went to this movie as there is an obvious dislike for the actor.

Deepwater Horizon was a great movie! Peter Berg is such an awesome director.

I give the troll a 1 for his 600 reviews he entered..he definitely has a hate on. I give the movie a well deserved 5..good development of characters and a very realistic heart pounding account of a major tragedy. The story line is well done so that it keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the movie right up to the spectacular ending. Even though you know what is going to happen.you get to see why it happened, how it changed lives, created heroes under extreme adversity and you got a feeling of what they endured. Spectacular visuals and sound brought it all to life. Highly recommended

Superficial nonsense.

Doesn't take much to please some people...Watched 15 minutes and am happy I did not spend any pesos for this...

I liked this movie unlike the troll that keeps giving it 1 star rating. Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich all gave a great performance. It is a story that needed to be told. Go see it.

Save your time and money. Not worth watching. Weak plot, no storyline, bad characters, very boring. Mark was not good.

Hard to hear conversations of actions as the sound of drills in background ...after the first 3/4 hour, the action, and frightening, realistic scenes of a true life oil station exploding and burning. A story that deserves to be told. Not for everyone, certainly adult entertainment because it has moments of being terrifying.

Good movie

Very true to life. I lived on the Gulf Coast and was very affected by this event when it happened and the years following. Never really heard about the people on the rig. Only that some perished and most got rescued.

There should be an option for zero stars because DeepWater Horizon doesn't deserve one star.

There's one good scene with John Malkovich, but it's not worth showing up for 5 minutes of compelling story out of almost 2 hours of hell. No story, thin plot, unlikeable characters. The entire movie is an oil drill spitting oil. Waste of time and money.

Watched at TIFF. Walked out halfway through. Repetitive, slow, boring, too much handheld camera, too many cuts, heartless, soulless and worst of all Mark Wahlberg is on the screen one hour too long.

If Dylan O'Brien is in it, it will be amazing
