Synopsis
High school seniors Danny Zuko (Aaron Tveit) and Sandy (Julianne Hough) meet on the beach during summer vacation and fall in love. He tells her he goes to an expensive boarding school and Sandy lives in Salt Lake City, so when they part, they believe they'll never see each other again.
Surprise! When Sandy's parents move from Utah, she winds up at Rydell High, where Danny belongs to a gang of greasers. Rizzo, a member of The Pink Ladies, had something for Danny once but the feelings weren't mutual, so she gleefully makes sure Sandy bumps into Danny to find out the truth.
Still in love with Sandy, but aghast when his lie is exposed, he pretends he never cared for her and that she was just a fling. Sandy is heartbroken and wants nothing more to do with him.
Danny has to figure out how to win Sandy back, especially when she begins dating a jock.
