The Crossing (Guo Chun Tian)

Synopsis

Sixteen-year-old Peipei crosses the border nearly every day, travelling between her mainland China home and her Hong Kong high school. Customs officials glimpse her school uniform and innocent face and wave her through without a second thought.

Grown up in a tropical climate, Peipei and her best friend dream of going to Japan to see real snow but they don't have money. To earn money, Peipei joins a gang of smugglers and begins to smuggle iPhones from Hong Kong to mainland. She doesn't know her well-paid job will render her routine into something highly risk.
