    My all-time fav gift was waking up and seeing Castle Grey Skull with a ton of He-Man figures under the tree! We did not have a lot of money as a kid (drank powdered milk and shopped at thrift store on the CFB) my dad knew I wanted this more than anything, so he saved and saved for me. If I never got another gift again, I wouldn't have cared cause I had this! I took amazing care of all my figures and the Castle and when I moved out, I gave them to a kid in my neighbourhood who didn't have much. He didn't know He-Man but he certainly was happy.

    It had to be the Playstation 2 I got on Christmas of 2001. I was totally surprised and didn't ever see that one coming. My Mom really went out of her way to get that for me and I had my Cat Kitty and My Dog Buffy with me. We were altogether. It was a such a nice Christmas and I won't ever forget what my Mom did for Me. I Love her no matter what.

The other was a played TV that eventually could no longer be fixed because I watched it so often. In the days before today's technology, you wound this up and it played the same two minute show over and over.

    A moon base. The moon lander was a balloon that you tied a plastic landing stand to. The radar was just a fan which you turned towards your lander which you could pick up the lander and with a steady hand you could move it around the base and land it at one of 2 other landing pads.

    My favorite toy from under the tree was a vintage doll set my mom found for sale in the paper that was still new in the package. A nurse doll with uniform, casts, bandages,crutches,stethoscope and candy pills. Nobody I knew had a doll like her they all wanted barbies I wish I still had her .

    I was going to say my Easy Bake Oven, which I loved, but I think even more than that I loved my Johnny and Jane West dolls and the horses that went with them. Hours of playtime I got out of those. I'm starting to get all sentimental thinking about those special gifts and realizing how much effort my Mom must have made to find some of the special toys I asked for.

    When I was about 10 years old (late 1960's), my brother, sisters and I received the game Hands Down..wow! it was our first toy/game that we could play together. It was so much fun. The other one we enjoyed too was Spirograph...great memories ! Joyeux Noel to all :D

    I had been asking for a train set for several years and I will never forget the Christmas morning when I opened it. I collected more as the years went on and a few years back I donated my collection to a neighbour who had helped me immensely during a move from Toronto to Ottawa. He was also an avid train fan and he and his wife were expecting their first son. He was thrilled that one day he could share his passion with his son. I got as much joy out of giving the collection as I did on the Christmas Day I opened it.

    A snow shovel. My brother and sisters used to make forts and tried doing igloos. My parents large shovel was too big and heavy and we all had our own shovels, of course we helped clean the driveway and sidewalk but we made it fun.
