The love between Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia is a force in itself.
Mark Hamill is one of the many stars who paid tribute to Carrie Fisher when news broke that the actress died Tuesday (Dec. 27). But in a heartfelt gesture, he took to social media once again last night (Dec. 28) when he shared a photo on Twitter of a fan-made Walk of Fame star designed to honor of Carrie.
The creation was made by a fan named Jason "Grimlock" Thomas. He placed stick-on letters over a blank star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to transform it into a memorial for the Star Wars icon. The text on the star reads, "Carrie Fisher: May the Force be with you always. Hope."
Jason's Instagram post, which includes the caption "Our princess didn't have a star, so I gave her one... now she lives amongst them," was spotted by Mark. He posted an image of the makeshift star to Twitter, and accompanied it with the following text: "She took a little piece of all of us with her. #TooSoon."
Below, check out Mark's tweet, Jason's Instagram picture and Mark's Dec. 27 Facebook tribute to Carrie, in which he writes about his on-screen Star Wars sibling. He shares that Carrie "played such a crucial role in [his] professional & personal life, & both have would been far emptier without her." He adds that he's "grateful for the laughter, the wisdom, the kindness & even the bratty, self-indulgent crap my beloved space-twin gave me through the years."
