Celebrate the 35th anniversary of Top Gun - Blu-ray giveaway Published By Marriska Fernandes on May 13, 2021

Happy Top Gun Day!
We're pulling out our aviator sunglasses because it's Top Gun day!

What is Top Gun Day, you ask? Well, you get to quote Top Gun all day long, sport those stylish aviator sunglasses, pretend you’re a fighter pilot and play volleyball in jeans. Also, do we need another reason to post photos of Tom Cruise?

Top Gun first hit theaters on May 16, 1986. So why is May 13th Top Gun Day? Here's what the website topgunday.com states: "We intended for Top Gun Day to be observed on the day the movie was released... The real story is we screwed up when creating a few graphics and by the time we caught the error the word was already out.

"It turns out that choosing the 13th was serendipitous for a few reasons. First, since Top Gun Day is so HUGE we would overshadow any chatter about the movie itself! Second, since the dates are so close it means Top Gun Day can be enjoyed a few days straight. Lastly, well, I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. We really are cowboys. Hemlock anyone?"

Since it's also the 35th anniversary of the movie, Tribute is hosting a contest to win a copy of Top Gun on 4K Ultra HD. Click here to enter the contest!

Top Gun: Maverick will be releasing later this year on November 19. Check out the trailer!

Why would anyone want to "celebrate" this fascist propaganda? It's a garbage film. Always was, always will be.
