Former child star Corey Feldman released a video yesterday to announce he has plans to take down a pedophile ring in Hollywood, saying, "Right off the bat I can name six names, one of whom is still very powerful today and a story that links all the way up to a studio, it connects pedophilia to one of the major studios."
He goes on to say he's afraid of what will happen when he does expose those people, saying, "I've been living in fear and been living with this my entire life, as most victims have."
Feldman says in the video that since he announced he has a plan to expose "perverts and pedophiles," he was almost killed when two trucks came speeding towards him at a crosswalk, and subsequently several of his band members quit "because they're afraid for their lives."
He says there are thousands of others who've had the same experiences he's had, but "have been afraid to come forward with their own truths." He's hoping they'll finally speak up. "I've lived in shame and fear my entire life and so have millions of others and now we have the ability to let our voices be heard and break the dam of silence."
In order to expose these pedophiles, whom he says preyed on not just him but also his best friend Corey Haim (who passed away in 2010), he's launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise the money to make a film about his life, calling it "the most honest and true depiction of child abuse ever portrayed." The money he raises will go towards getting the film a wide release. So far the campaign has earned over $105,000. ~Alexandra Heilbron
