Maze Runner: The Death CureAmong the movies in theaters this weekend, one film made its debut and was crowned the box office champ. Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the final installment in the Maze Runner series, took the top spot, bumping last week's champ Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle to second.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure earned $23.5 million over the weekend. The film follows Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and the other Gladers who go on a mission to find a cure for the disease that's turning people into zombies. It has a rating of 5 stars from users on our site.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle may not be box office king anymore, but it's still winning audiences. Sitting at the second spot on the list, it earned an additional $16.4 million, giving it a gross domestic total of $338 million. It has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars from users on our site.

Hostiles, which expanded this weekend to more theaters, took the third position at the box office, earning $10.2 million. It follows an embittered U.S. Cavalry officer (Christian Bale) who is ordered to safely get a Cheyenne Chief and his family home through hostile territory despite his obvious distaste for all Indians.
