Rihanna with her cousin TavonRihanna's cousin, Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, 21, was shot to death in Barbados on Boxing Day. Rihanna, 29, had spent Christmas with Tavon, tweeting, "RIP cousin... can't believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms!" she wrote. "Never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man!"

She ended the post with the hashtag #endgunviolence.

Tavon was reportedly walking near his home at approximately 7 p.m. last night (Tuesday) when a man with a gun approached and shot him multiple times. The suspect, who has not been identified, fled the scene.

Barbados police are investigating the case. ~Alexandra Heilbron

    you have to Laugh......" the suspect " Fled the scene ? NO surely he waited for the cops to show up and wished them a Merry Christmas ? of course we have to wonder if it was Drug related...Most Likely ! If someone walks up to you and empties a magazine into your ass then it's probably gang or Drug related !

    Lee Mac, do you feel better after making your pointless and insensitive post? Who knew all black people in Barbados are related to drug related violence? or that in Barbados you only get shot because of drugs and gangs (and not robberies or any other reasons)? Gun violence is no laughing matter, and whatever the reasons are for this young man being victimized, it is still a life lost, and no laughing matter?
