Robert Pattinson "Most Beautiful Man" according to science Published By Alexandra Heilbron on Feb 06, 2020

Robert Pattinson in Life (2015)A scientific mathematical formula that measures facial features has determined that Robert Pattinson is the "most beautiful man in the world."

The Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi, which measures physical perfection, was used to measure the eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape of numerous male celebrities. Pattinson, 33, was compared to other celebrities and came out on top with a score of 92.15 percent.

The percentages are determined by measuring the length and width of a person's face, then dividing the results.

Pattinson, who is currently filming the lead role in The Batman, rose to fame when he was cast as Edward Cullen in the 2008 film Twilight. In the novel the movie is based on, Edward is described as "beautiful" multiple times. Although there was some criticism from certain corners when Pattinson was cast was Edward, whoever hired him must be smiling right now.

The British newspaper Daily Mail, which published the findings, credits these findings to London-based facial cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva, who runs the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery. He explained he uses the technique in his work, saying, "These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients' surgery."

Other male celebrities named in the top 10 list of Beautiful Men were:

Henry Cavill (91.64%)
Bradley Cooper (91.08%)
Brad Pitt (90.51%)
George Clooney (89.91%)
Hugh Jackman (89.64%)
David Beckham (88.96%)
Idris Elba (88.01%)
Kanye West (87.94%)
Ryan Gosling (87.48%)

He's definitely good looking. Not sure I would have had Kanye West or Ryan Gosling on there though. What about Chadwick Boseman and Henry Golding?

Remember the saying -- "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder". It means that we all have individual views of what beauty is. And in this case, who we consider to have the most beautiful facial features, science formula or not, is up to the public to decide. But a company that measures facial features using a scientific mathematical formula. Who is funding this company? What a huge waste of money that could be better used elsewhere.

Surprising! He's not even in my Top 100! Clearly, staff at the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery have not seen a lot of film and TV! :D Then they might know Alexander Vlahos, Matthew McConaughey, Cole Sprouse, John Barrowman, and others!

    Jon Hamm

Kanye West? Their machine is broken.

Isn't it all about facial symmetry and regularity of features? Then Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling wouldn't be on that list, but I'm Ok they made it. And what about Tom Hardy?
  • Marjorie - 2/6/2020 7:20:52 PM
Nope! AIDAN TURNER is by far the best!
  • Nancy - 2/6/2020 11:11:40 PM
I would add Sam Heughan (plays Jaime Fraser in The Outlander); and Tom Hughes (Prince Albert in PBS's Victoria). Total babes, both.

And let's not forget Sean Connery, AKA "Bond, James Bond."

Jensen Ackles from "Supernatural" should be on that list.
  • Sonya - 2/7/2020 3:04:21 PM
    No, Rob Lowe?
  • Sonya - 2/7/2020 3:06:19 PM
Keanu Reeves didn’t make the cut ??

Matthew Goode is DELISH ! Armie Hammer Timothée Chalamet Charlie Hunnan

This is missing so many that are far better looking that the headline is meaningless. I find Aidan Turner to far more attractive than any on this list.

Robert Pattinson is a wuss. Obviously the wuss factor was not taken into consideration by the Golden Ratio experts. If you factor in hunk over wuss, then Kanye West and Brad Pitt are top of list.

Can’t agree with Robert Pattinson being #1 Most Beautiful Face in the world. Maybe top 10 for sure. The most beautiful face in the world should have gone to Taekook from BTS. Now....Taekook has a Beautiful Face. And, come on Kanye West???? There is no beauty to be seen when you look at him. I believe the list provided was one person’s personal pick.
  • Zee - 2/7/2020 8:02:36 PM
Correction to my previous comment... Taekook should have been named the person with the Most Beautiful Face. I meant to say Tae “V” from BTS. But then Jungkook from BTS should have been one of the top 10.

This is a eugenics formula if beauty. i.e, : favors conventions of white people. Look at the names again. Racist B.S.
  • Judith - 2/8/2020 3:08:31 PM
Kayne West??? I guess the a...hole factor isn't one of the variables. And Idris Elba should have been much higher on the list. I always thought symmetry contributed to what is beautiful in a face. Pattinson's face seems very unsymmetrical and droopy to me.
  • ELENA - 2/8/2020 7:58:15 PM
DOES NOT LOOK SYMMETRIC AT ALL ...THIS IS SO WEIRD ! Idris Elba, Sam Heughan , Sean Connery, Gregory Peck, George Clooney and Brad Cooper ..period! Number 1 Idris !! Kanye ..Seriously ?
  • Patricia Garza - 2/8/2020 9:27:55 PM
How about Travis Fimmel from Vikings, William Levy, and Kivanc Tatlitug from Seyit and Sura and of course Sam Hueghan from Outlander
  • Josie Nixdorff - 2/9/2020 9:21:33 AM
    Keanu Reeves gets my vote
  • Claudia - 2/9/2020 3:02:55 PM
    Ralph Finnes and Liam Neeson
  • Bonnie - 2/9/2020 11:45:07 PM
    Aidan Turner and Paul Newman
