Tom Cruise dons mask to watch Tenet with other movie fans Published By Alexandra Heilbron on Aug 26, 2020

Tom Cruise returns to the theater as a moviegoer

Tom Cruise, who's currently in London, donned a mask -- even on the car ride over to the theater -- to watch Tenet with other moviegoers despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Once there, he enters the theater alone but joins his Mission: Impossible director Christopher McQuarrie to watch the film. Afterwards, he exclaims, "Great to be back in a movie theater everybody!"

As he's walking towards the exit, another audience member asks him if he enjoyed the film, and he replies that he loved it. Watch the video that he posted on his Instagram and Twitter accounts above.

Tenet opens today (August 26, 2020) in the U.K., Canada, France, Germany, Russia, Australia, Italy, Japan and Korea. It opens September 3, 2020 in the United States. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Too cool. What a guy. If he feels safe with a mask (the other people looked pretty close to him), maybe it's okay for the rest of us. I'd been planning to see Tenet on the big screen. So far I've been in a restaurant and on a patio, those seemed pretty safe. Maybe the world's finally getting back to normal, or at least, more normal than it has been.

If Tom thinks it's safe, and theaters do seem to have safety measures in place, I'm going too. Can't wait for Tenet on the big screen.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I've been to a restaurant, sat on a patio, been clothes shopping and I am so ready to see a film at a theatre now that some good new ones are out there.

OMG -- What a "Monkey See, Monkey Do" bunch!! Because Tom Cruise says it's okay -- it's ok?? We have our own minds, make our own decisions.....No???? Be real.
