A Quiet Place

Well done scary movie. People were quiet during the movie. I just sat to watch this movie without analyzing where the monster came from and bla bla. I had a good scary time. Lol

If I was basing my judgment solely on acting and plot (as well as characters and directing), then it would be five stars. However, I was left with so many 'whys' at the end, that I realized the writing was lacking in some ways. Why are the monsters there? Why is the military not involved anymore? Why do we not know if there's other people around? Why do the monsters kill people? Why do we skip from day 89 (which is already mid-action) to day 400 something? I would have liked to see the in-between to know how the situation became so desperate, even if it were in flashback. I feel like this world could have been built so much better. Unless it was just meant to be a metaphor for the raucous of too many people around - like Shyamalan's The Happening (which also didnt have much explanation). I definitely appreciated Blunt and Krasinski's efforts in here, though. They carried the film and the tone of it.

A very good horror movie which relies on each characters actions to tell the story with a minimal amount of dialogue.

Amazingly well done movie. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. 90 minutes goes by so quickly. Fantastic job by all!

Great movie felt for their family

A quiet place is a suspenseful horror movie that I enjoyed thoroughly. The idea has been done before but the execution was very original. I would highly recommend this movie for a good time out at the movies.

More thriller than horror, not at all gory. Suspense the whole way through. Enjoyable, nothing cliche. Impressive for a movie with like 5 minutes of dialogue. I may have a stronger opinion on how it ended though.

Great film. A classy horror film not relying on gore. It is something not seen much anymore, an original concept. The suspense is incredible and the viewer is kept on the edge of his seat. Great direction and acting, I absolutely loved this film.

Best thriller I've seen in a while. The lack of dialogue did not stop the emotional connection with it's audience - it enhanced it. Jon Krasinski's performance was powerful, and I finally no longer saw him as Jim Halpert. (The Office).

A well paced horror movie which built the tension so quietly it had the audience silent anticipating what was going to happen next. Brilliant film.

it was very good considering there was not a lot of dialogue. And the suspense kept us on the edge of our seats. We also found ourselves trying to be extremely quiet when eating our snacks....we didn't want to make any noise. Very good movie, highly recommend.

What a suspense! This is a unique and modern horror movie including sign language. The spectator is on the edge from the beginning to the end and at anytime, you can jump from your seat. Highly recommended!

It was a great horror movie! Got me on edge all the movie. Every sound being scary. I had to hide behind my scarf few times. Also, the lack of noise got my stress levels so high. Way to go! Great movie.

It was an old fashioned "scare" movie that kept me on the edge of my seat.

It's a terrific movie, beautifully made and carried along by strong performances and skillful storytelling.

I thought the movie was very good! Had me on the edge of my seat. I had to cover my mouth in certain parts of the movie. It really had the audience convinced to stay quiet.

We're not usually "horror"movie fans, however my husband and I both really enjoyed this movie. John Krasinski did a great job - co-wrote; directed; acted; executive producer - I knew him from The Office. Very impressed. The rest of the cast was spot on as well. Very enjoyable.

This was an extremely intense film. It grabbed hold of you from the first frame and didn’t let go until the final frame. I must have had 20 jump scares but each was “earned” as film critics love to say. Highly recommend this to fans of sci-fi horror with a subtle dystopian atmosphere. Performances were fantastic across the board and the sound design was everything. Don’t read anything if you like thrillers, just see it.

John Krasinski did a phenomenal job with this movie. Not only did he direct it amazingly, his acting was on point as always. Let’s not forget Emily Blunt was just awesome as well. Absolutely recommend everyone to see this. Keeps you on the edge on your seat to the very last second!!
