The movie was good, it should have been great.>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1) A lot of really good gags and callbacks to the original movie, but it was very much a play it safe movie trying to do a "next generation" spin. It will likely impress those who watched it as an original movie 35 years ago. Those who saw the original on TV and were raised on CGI movies will find this movie silly, slow and uninteresting............... 2) mixed bag on the acting, Jenna Ortega the Lydia daughter was great as was the intro of "Delores" the villain (monica bellucci) & "Bob" the shrunken head guy stole every scene he was in. Honorable mention to danny devito as the janitor who enabled "Delores" The other actors all "mailed it in" with sub par performances. (Including an elderly michael keaton) 3) A lot of rehashing of tired gags from movie #1, which you should re watch before going to this one. The best subtle gag was the "delores finger" during her introduction scene. Dealing with the "jeffrey jones" (imprisoned hollywood pedophile) issue was imaginatively and effectively dealt with. 4) Plot line and conceptual was good, but the movie makes you feel like you just finished sub par chinese food... ya hungry for something more substantive shortly thereafter. beetlejuice.... beetlejuice....beetlejuice....
I've always been a fan of Emmy Rossum, from her star-making performance in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and acclaimed work for director Clint Eastwood in MYSTIC RIVER and on to her roles as producer and star of the American version of SHAMELESS, I've been a big fan.
One of my favourite Halloween movies so far
All the actors were excellent. The storyline was quirky just like beetlejuice # 1 was. Its not a complicated movie, but it was well made and had me laughing out loud alot.
Reminded me a lot of the first one.
This movie sucked. Do waste your time or money.
Much, Much better than Wonka or Deadpool.
Gross not a good sequel to the original
Very good movie Love you 🥰
No originality. Poor remake of a good movie. Many similarities and not enough new for the technology today. Maybe I am too old and don’t understand modern humor. Has several dead spots that I almost fell asleep.
Beetlejuice beetlejuice movie was pretty good. Tim Burton has not lost touch
Was ok but nothing I would want to watch again
Usually sequels suck but this was good
Too many people went into it with expectations of it being like the first one but it is not.
Good acting, fast-moving, just worth the time. Don't Go see Regan or Twister
this and deadpool saved summer
Bad acting, slow-moving, just not worth the time. Go see Regan or Twister
One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, not sure how I lasted through it without falling asleep. If I’d been watching at home I would’ve switched it after the first 20-30 mins. Weak, disjointed story line, poor acting and poor choice of music. Jenna Ortega was the only good thing about this movie, her acting was the best out of the cast. It was such a disappointment as I really enjoyed the original.
Very good, worth the watch.
This movie is humours and entertaining just like the the first movie with some surprises that you would all enjoy.
Saw the movie Saturday September 7,2024. afternoon at 3:00 pm me hubby and grandson and we all loved it .loved the original and the new one couldn't wait to see it enjoyed it from beginning to end .By the ending think there might even be a 3rd one of it.
Better than Deadpool
I'm a senior 66 years old. I loved the first Beedle Juice movie and I couldn't wait for this new movie! Great from beginning to end! The ending was a bit strange and betting on their will be a number 3!! It appeared to be a dream!!! Great movie!
As much as I wanted to like it, I didn't. The story was disjointed and it's missing that quirky charm that was in the first film. It just felt forced.
Movies are back! This and Deadpool
Fantastic! As good as the first one, I loved it from start to finish, it was so great to see Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice again.
Alec Baldwin isn't in this but the ghost of the person he killed can be seen in the background as an extra.
More than worth the wait, to be sure.
The year's best movie! Bring on BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE!
the timbre of Keaton's voice is off - sounds uninterested and all in the same range - no dynamics like the first - as if he's doing an impression of him doing Beetlejuice. They should go re-Foley that tomorrow.
