Brokeback Mountain

I really liked this movie. I would watch it again. I was really impressed with Jake Gyllenhaal. He is an amazing actor. Raw emotion was shown by that boy. I wasn`t really impressed with Heath Ledger but he certainly didn`t take anything away from the movie. I recommend this to everyone interested in a heart bracking love story.

I never wanted to sleep so much, this movie was so boring. There was nothing scecial or even good about this movie. Just because it discusses a topic considered taboo in the past by no means makes it a good movie. 2nd worst movie I saw this year. Jarhead still gets first place.

Can`t wait to see the women version on showcase.

This film was a great cure for insomnia.

I think it`s ridiculous that this movie is being mentioned for an Oscar - for any Oscar. The movie was OK. Not stellar, not incredible, not moving, not anything else. I`m glad that the story was told so that heterosexuals can learn that just because you`re gay doesn`t mean that you have to act queeny. But other than that, it was pretty boring. The characters (Jake and Heath`s) both got what they deserved, being as they were cheating on their wives to be with each other. If you replace one of the guys with a girl, it would be the most boring movie ever told.

I have to admit great acting and wonderful scenery, but that`s about it. Yet again a tragic gay love story. Very predictable as well as stereotypical. Why can`t it be a love story with a more positive outcome? I certainly don`t understand what all the hype is about this movie. A good movie, but not great. The opportunity for a great movie was certainly there, but falls short.

Remembering what time the movie was set in was a very eye opening experience of what went on in that day.

Heart-breaking love story.

It was great. I love movies that rivit you to the screen and make you feel right along with the charaters of the film.I am looking foward to the dvd release because I could not think of never seeing this movie again.

I feel really bad for the people who think this movie is great! Let`s be honest with ourselves. It sucked worse than "Attack from MARS". For those of you that think this movie was ground breaking, please go rent "I love a man in uniform" and/or "My own private Idaho". Do you all think this is the first gay flick? Guess again. Did it get reviews becuase of the big names it had or the story line? Then again I could of wrapped this movie up in 15 minutes. I could watch the starting five min, and the ending 5 and know the whole thing. And what`s the irony with the sheep? And yes for you doubters out there, Im homophobic but I enjoy a great movie.

A fantastic movie

Anyone who did not like this movie must be really back woods and closed minded. It was beautifully done! The acting was excellent and well deserving of the awards it is recieving.

Wonderful love story

Interesting and well-acted, but dragged throughout.

A movie that keeps you thinking many days after you have seen it is a powerful movie. I have always loved the outdoors and the scenery was a pleasure to see. It was a love story. It maybe shocking at first to see some of the early scenes but I think it is good for us all to be view and be better able to relate to what "other couples" have to go through.

B-o-o-o-o-ring. The scenery is good but what is all the hype for? Answer: It is a poor film that promotes the trendy homo agenda. If they can come up with an interesting plot, I will be all for it. But this film is just an excuse for the Hollywood set to give its accolades to promote sodomy.

All I can say is WOW!!! it really was moving and powerful great movie! GO SEE IT!!! whether your straight or gay this movie has a deeper meaning about love and relationships....that EVERYBODY CAN UNDERSTAND! RESPECK!!!

I`m so glad that I waited until it came to the "cheapy theater" and only paid $4.25 to see it. I could only understand a few words here and there. The mumbling drove me nuts. I was utterly disapointed in this. I had high hopes .. to high perhaps.

A different kind of movie....too long. At one point I felt like saying "Hey guys, make up your mind, you are either gay or you are not, move one with your life" Jake was good but Heath - I could not understand half of what he said. Definitely not an academy award movie. McMurtry has been turning out western novels for years....guess he hit the jackpot with this one. Not impressed.

A dramatic masterpiece of the tragedy of love when the individuals cannot accept and live out their human need for another human being.

Poorly directed, disjointed,,,,too bad the story couldn`t keep up to the cinematography. The first hour dragged a one hour story into a long movie,, certainly says where Hollywood`s head is--screw the story and promote a cause! Not even close to a good movie.

The movie was 2 hours and 14 minutes. It seemed like 2 weeks and 14 ddays.

Ok i wouldn`t go see this movie again, but it was a surprisingly good movie. It really showed how homosexuality was extremely unaccepted and how the people that were gay struggled to deal with it. K but just for the record this movie is not about the kissing of the cowboys (and the other things they do lol). All in all pretty good movie, great directing.
