Queen Latifa nearly made me cry when she sang. It was worth the money just to see her. John Travolta was hysterical in his role. I was prepared for a "meh" movie and was very happily surprised at how good it was! 4 stars.

this was the cheepest most horrible movie i have ever seen. John Travolta ruined the whole movie. He didnt even come close to playing a female role. This was a total discrase to the original broadway production. WASTE OF MONEY.

When I first saw previews for Hairspray I knew I had to see it. I loved this movie so much! I knew I would love it because I love watching musicals. All of the actors did amazing, no one could have played their roles better. The message was great and I DEFINATLY recommend this movie for everyone. Im going to see it again!

A very firm 4 stars here, with standout performances by almost every member of the fine cast - Travolta was almost too much until the final 20 minutes, when I thought he redeemed himself respectably. The singing is very good, and the dancing excellent and exciting, although a little suggestive in places. However, my wife and I enjoyed this movie immensely, and recommend it wholeheartedly.

This movie is truely amazing. It shows you that "bigger" people are still capable of doing stuff and that just because someone is of a differen't color doesn't mean they aren' the same either. This movie is fun, entertaining, and well worth your money. GO SEEE IT!
