I just got back from seeing the movie and I do have to say that it was absoluteley awesome and the best so far in the movie series!!! When I first read the 5th book, I thought that it would be really hard to make it into a movie because it is both very complicated and the longest in the series, but David Yates did a terrific job. They had all the major stuff from the book and really captured the emotion that is in the book as Harry is struggling. The acting was also wonderful. Both the new cast members and the returning cast members did and excellent job as there characters. You can truly see that Dan, Emma, and Rupert are no longer child actors and their acting has really improved as they g
Keeping in mind that the movies are NOT the books and will never live up to the brilliance of JK Rowling's novels. I felt that the movie was very well done. I enjoyed the plot, yes it was darker, but it had many light hearted moments and I found myself laughing for much to the film. The effects of course were excellent and numerous. I also was impressed by the acting. The newcomers who played Luna, Umbridge and Belatrix were superb, exactly as I pictured them. As for Harry, Ron and Hermione, now of course keeping in mind that the things they are experiencing in this film are so far away from things they have most likely experienced throughout there life, especially Harry, I disagree with the
I thought this movie was really good but the ending was very disapointing because it was blank. It had no good information in what is going to happen which dosent encourage me to watch the 6th harry potter movie
I was so upset with it, the acting was horrible. Only the girl who played Luna Lovegood was good. The script was also horrible. All they did was steal random lines from the book and stuck them into the film where they barely made sense. Perhaps, for a person who has not read the book it is good but if you have read the book, dont see it because it will very much upset you!!
it was no good at all! worst harry potter movie so far!
how could you put this on imax over transformers? are you guys on crack?
as usual, none of the movie has met up to my expectation. the special effects were good i guess and thats the only thing i can compliment on. acting...how i wish they would come around and really act. they don't seem believable, with the exception to snape. he has done justice to his character once again. then again, i am not a professional...so i guess its up to others to give it a proper review. for me, i just can't seems to find the soul in it. TORONTO
not better than transformers but a good movie
HARRY POTTER IS SOOO CRAZYY!! I LOVED IT!!
simply wonderful.
awsome movie!!
I think that The Goblet Of Fire was better than this one because of the fight scenes with you-know-who. In this one there is only 1. Overall,I give Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix **** four stars. I cannot wait to see what Daniel Radcliffe and the rest of the cast can do within the last 2 movies. For you who haven't seen it yet, I would go see it because it is worth seeing it.. HarryPotter5Reviewer
Somewhat entertaining, but no personality. More a recitation of the highpoints of the book. Of course no movie ever lives up to any book, but do and go and see it, if only to satisfy yourself!
Its the best movie in the world.
Overrated, no where near the top 10 list of the summer
It was great. I loved the battle scenes. They couldn't put everything from the book in but it was nicely done.
Great movie. The movie was a lot more darker, and I felt more for an older adult viewing crowd. They did a great job of summarizing the book, even though some things were cut out. Yates also added some stuff at the end which I thought looked great! Good Job!
It is a difficult task condensing a six hundred plus page novel into a film and it is expected that many bits are left out especially since the deviations from Goblet of Fire set the stage for the current omissions. I do wonder however if the producers did more than scan the cover of the Order of the Phoenix. The movie lacks the passion and plots of the novel version and does not justify changes in some of the plots for the weaker movie version. If you are a movie-only fan of Harry Potter you will enjoy the movie but those who love the books will find it departs considerably from the text. It is particularly annoying how they treat the Cho Chang character and Rita Skeeter is absent. It wa
best movie EVER
It was a great movie! very intersting. Its shows that friendship can beat anything!
harry potter 5 was amazing. excellent acting, effexts, scenery etc..
AWESOME ! LOVEYOUHARRY!
it was an amazing movie
better than the rest. i love the battle.
amazing! the best potter film is also the best movie of the summer. and of of the best so far this year.
The fifth go around for Harry suffers from lazy performances and sub-par special effects. Radcliffe looks particularly bored with the character and the producers would be wise to find a replacement.
I just think that they cut out way too many things from the book. Other than that, great flick and most definately darker!
Given the lenght of the book they did a pretty good job with the movie. Yates is perhaps the best director yet !! To get the most out of the movie you have to read the books !! I still do not like the new Dumbledore.
Enjoyable film, without a doubt.
