distracting. Hanks was not in much of the moviel
We are more alike than different .full of raw emotion ..I want to see it again!
For me, a beautifully presented story about a place and how it changes over more than 200 years. While the primary narrative is about Tom Hanks and his family, three or four other families are woven in and out of the story line. If you’re open to something not so ordinary, this movie will be delightfully entertaining. It’s masterful and I would see it again!
Most boring movie i think i have ever seen, came so close to walking out. The production camera was anchored to one position for the entire movie which only added to the boredom. The last scene was the only point tolerable.
I have always liked Tom Hanks movies and I did enjoy this one but felt it could have been more. More organized, More time line, It jumped around quite a bit and this style took me a few minutes to get used to.
A couple of the storylines were not worth keeping in. Yes, disjointed flashbacks and boring. Depressing and sad. Not my cup of tea.
This movie will not be interesting to people who lack a basic understanding of 20th century history. You must be able to distinguish between a 1930s and 1960s setting. Unique, very emotional and vivid story that does not follow the standard (and very worn out) Hollywood formula. I cried.
Left after 30 minutes. Unnecessary and frequent use of foul language, some out of period. I'm disappointed Tom Hanks is a part of this movie. First 30 minutes felt disjointed and out of sequence. Rotten tomatoes.
The most boring 20 minutes we’ve spent money on in a long time. I’m glad some viewers loved it. That’s great. But I couldn’t stand anymore. I only rated a 1 bc you didn’t give 0 as an option
Bored to death
My husband and I both loved this movie. Very different, lovely storytelling. It is clever in its delivery.
long fell asleep in parts at the end one viewer commented out load enough to be heard-- Is that it?
Stupid and depressing!!!
It wasn't emotionally moving in any way until the end. Several people in theatre at end said they felt like walking out. I would've walked out had I not gone with someone else. Disappointment
It was ok toward the end but worst movie I've ever seen tom Hanks in.
I am seeing a 38% Rotten Tomato? This is a truly beautiful movie. It's not your standard plot with a climax, and explosions. It's more contemplative, and a reflection of time. I loved this movie. It may feel a little slow in the middle, but what movie doesn't. This one really left me in tears at the end. It's just a true a masterpiece about random people living in a home. If the walls could talk. This one truly deserves some positive recognition than rotten tomatoes is giving it right now. It was the best movie I have seen is a while. Go see it.
I'm so tired of the I+II+III sequel s, examples Pirates, Marvel...so boring and predictable. Here we have a story that covers the ages. Makes me think about places I've been, and where my home currently is. Well done movie!
