this movie is so well done. Great acting. Great story based on true life events. This movie gets at the heart of what an abusive father/son relationship is like and shows how through faith and forgiveness Christ can change lives.

I couldn't even make it through the trailer without crying. God has been so good. It is beautiful and tragic.

This movie brought to life a true story of redemption that changed lives. So well done!

Wonderful movie, based on true story how troubled and hurt lives can be turned around when people make Right decisions. A very powerful song. Loved the movie. We need more movies like this one that show that making right decisions can be good for living. I'm tired of the movies they are showing with violence,blood and gory scenes!

Lucky to get 2 stars for this “Hallmark made for TV” movie. Poor writing, wooden acting with quite a good song in the end. Don’t see why so many people give it 5 stars - the message of forgiveness?

5 Stars and five tubs of pop 🌽 corn This Movie was so real...I suffered Abuse I’m 70 female had three males in a lifetime break my nose,many other abuses...Just too bad my abusers were not converted,not to my knowledge any way...Jesus went through the worst of it all! I know it was very hard for Dennis Quaid to work on this film big time Kuddos for him best work of his Carrer to me! I pray he gets the Recovery he needs I know it brought up a lot of issues for him...God Bless Him. Loved this Film best film I’ve seen in a long time. I’m still waiting for Keith Millers book Please Love Me to be Produced! Anyone get a chance it’s a must read! True Story Christian Based!

the message and the music

Well acted and love the redemptive side of the father and son relationship mend. Also, it's refreshing to see a good, clean inspirational movie. I always loved the song because it makes you think about life and where you stand in your faith .

Really nice to get to see the story behind the #1 all time christian single every loves. J. Michael Findley sings the song perfectly when Amy Grant turns the mike over to him at one point. Mercyme has 21 #1 singles, many have deep impact-full meanings like "I can only imagine". Great movie, very well done. Thanks to Bart Millard for opening up his life and inspiring millions of people around the world!

Although it is a good story of redemption and forgiveness, I found it over-rated. It was too much ado about a song.

Excellent movie!

This is a must see family movie.

It was a great movie. FINALLY an authentic movie about life without foul language. You realize the violent behavior of his dad without actually having to watch it take place. It's a great story of how Christ truly redeems a life and the challenges we all have forgiving those who devastate us.

I have always loved the song by the same name and to hear and see the story behind it was most inspiring. It was emotional and it was real. I loved it. Best movie I've seen in at least 15 years!

This movie was very well done. It was emotional, heartbreaking, yet inspiring. The actors put all they had into their characters; so much emotion. I was very touched. I took my 16 year old granddaughter, and am grateful she wanted to see it and she was moved by it as well.

This is a fabulous movie. Nice to see a portrayal of a real life changing event. A nice change from all the same old stuff out in most movies today.

Excellent movie! A must see. Very clean; no nudity nor swearing. This movie shows God's transformation of a sinner to a man of God. Bring your unsaved loved ones and friends!

It had no foul language or nudity, and placed its focus on what can happen in real life if you put your faith in the Lord. I cried, got mad and laughed watching this movie, so in my humble opinion any move that can do that is a hit!

I'm very glad I was able to see this movie. It's message of redemption, forgiveness, faith, and healing leaves the viewer feeling encouraged and hopeful. These are the kinds of movies I do not regret going to.
