I liked how it revealed my own experiences from this pivotal time in history, of so many different people struggling to make sense of how the world has become, when all any of us want and need is kindness, caring, love, joy, and a BIGGERreason for "living". Jesus "shows" us the answer if we only listen to his words and see how he lived with others...
When I see a Jesus movie I expect it to have poor acting, plot struggles and pageantry. My friend picked up the tab or I wouldn't have seen it. This touches relational issues and doesn't resolve them all. The characters are flawed complex and for the most part believable. You need not be a "Christian" or convert to enjoy it.
Touched my Humanity on soo many levels. Love, Pain, Struggle, and triumph constantly throughout the film. I felt more alive watching this film than I have in far too long. A story of spiritual togetherness and the impact of real love and kindness between human beings.
I loved this true story, great cast and well-written script, making me laugh and cry! The authentic costuming and music transported me back to San Diego when I was in the Jesus movement. The scenic shots of the Cove and Laguna Beach were a nice touch, really putting us there. Two thumbs up! 👍👍
Very inspirational & hopeful. I've always liked Kelsey Grammer. I'd heard of Greg Laurie, but never saw his program, & didn't know this story. It reminded me of "Sister Act", inviting seemingly "lesser" people to church. I mean, really?! That's what Jesus always did, reaching out to those who are lost & broken. So nice to see an impactful, positive movie. Two thumbs up! ;)
A good true story.
Loved the message
Exceptionally well cast, filmed, lighting, location, and script, costumes. This movie is first rate. I cried, clapped, and laughed.
An honest depiction of the hippie movement in Southern California in the late 60s, and the Jesus movement that started there in the late 60s to early seventies. I was there for the hippie movement and impacted for life by the Jesus movement. This movie made me both laugh and cry!
Clean, decent entertainment! Love that it's a true story, and that the movement is alive and well!
Amazing...will be buying it whenever it comes out
Awesome movie
The acting was excellent and the message is so important for everyone!! This movie, like the Gospel, offers HOPE to a broken world.
Finally an excellent, spiritual movie that also has comedy! Awesome 👏. Jonathan Roumie is a joy to watch!
a movie to show how when God moves he can use anyone and to be born again is just about receiving and believing. what Jesus did for us on the cross and he gives it to us free.
Gives an accurate snapshot of the hopelessness of life in the 60s trying to find meaning in anything other than Christ. Directly applies to current era as well, of course. Excellent acting by Joel Courtney and of course, Kelsey Grammer. What a treat to see him in this! Jonathan Roumie is hugely entertaining as Lonnie Frisbie. Some great genuine belly laughs and tears here. Smooth acting all atound. The hand of God is clearly on Greg Laurie’s life. Can be on yours, too, Image Bearer. So thankful!!
It showed the reality of the ‘hippy’ movement where so many were searching for meaning in their lives. Well done!!
Cliche. This is - at best - a TV movie. Or one to show at Church. Either way - free.
Enough reality to entertain because Jesus Revolution captures the essence of what it was all about in Southern California in the late 60's. Worth watching , I know because I was there when it all happened !
Awesome!
Awesome!
This movie is a VERY good depiction of what happened during the Jesus Movement in America in the late 60’s and 70’s at a time where many young people were searching for answers. I highly recommend this movie!!!
Very well made movie. Great depiction of the revival movement in the late 60s early 70s
Awesome movie ! I remember the Jesus movement. They showed what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is really about and His love for us by dying on the cross for our sins and walking through life with us as our best friend.
Woke.
This movie is real. It shows the imperfect people searching and finding a living, loving and growing relationship with God. It depicts the realities of being human and allowing godly change to take effect in ones lives. Amazing!
It shows you don't have to clean up your act to go to Church. You go to Church to get cleaned up. A hospital is not for well people it is for sick people to get well, same as the Church. Thank You Greg for sharing
Loved this movie that embraced the hippie movement and showed them finding “real truth, real freedom “.
