The film is entertaining and moves along at a steady pace. The heart and soul of it, though, is Harvey Keitel, as the older Lansky, giving his best performance in years. Well worth seeing.

It's like a 30yr old wokie wrote and directed this. All his/hers modern ideas of relationships, marriage and mores' overlaid unto 1930's people.
Then there is the lead guy...with his scruffy "i'm not a homosexual, really!" beard, and bad acting, this was a forgetable throwaway, enormous waste of perfectly good celluloid.
