Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning

Over people's heads? LOL

It's a complex movie that is over some people's heads, which is exactly what I wanted. Not every movie can be so simple that every movie goer will catch everything the first time, but some movie viewers will vent about that in the ratings. Don't let that prevent you from seeing it, if you like complex plotlines. The entire Mission Impossible series is for those of us who do.

over written, over acted and over the top ridiculous story line. anyone one up for Risky Business II

It was okay since I was looking for something to do out of the house, but not in the heat/humidity of the outdoors. I fell asleep at one point, and my wife had to nudge me. Some of it's just too over-the-top to hold your attention - like the way-too-long plane scene. Glad I didn't pay full price.

I forgot what the movie was about as I walked to my car. Must not have been very good, because I still can't remember much about it.

Tom always aims to please and he gives it his all. I am always drawn into the storyline, and him doing all his own stunts shows he wants every to be perfect. He pulled out a fantastic movie for the end of Mission Impossible series. I will miss seeing him on any size screen.

3 hrs movie, 2.5 hrs talk and .50 hrs action.

Beautiful vistas and thrilling action galore. Hats off to Cruise and his multi-talented team, on and off screen. Interesting to watch the making of this film (YouTube) and see what it takes to make M Impossible, possible.

I was very disappointed. I would rate this movie as the worst in the franchise. I don't mind long movies when they are good. But this one was boring most of the way. With bothersome DEI casting. Especially, a disturbing Navy diver. With what has become a regular feature of these type of films: women kicking the crap out of men. Sure. Tom Cruise is still a star. I just wish that he was in a better movie. An exhilarating biplane sequence towards the end almost makes the 2 hours and 49 minutes worth it. Almost. Not quite. I know that even I could have written a better script than this. That was really the problem. The actors were fine. Honestly, I walked out of the theater wishing that I had stayed home and watched something on Amazon, saving the money that I spent.

Strong follow-up from the first movie, great actors with excellent commitment to their art, well done.

AI fanatics might find it interesting but if you know anything about SCUBA Diving or Nuclear Bombs or if you hated the very last James Bond film because you can not unsee it, then avoid the last Mission Impossible. It is almost three hours long. I hung in there for an hour and twenty minutes before I had to walk out. Maybe I will pick up the DVD in the future but the dialog was dragging out and it was full of goodbyes and it was getting to me. Tom Cruise is a hard working actor who has delivered the goods on a ton of great movies but for me this one was waring me out. It felt like Jaws 3D, i.e,, you know it is going to get better but it never does.

Different. Action and stressful. Actors very good, story high tech main message about Nuclear Armageddon and war. Save the human race.

I guess it is good that this is the last one. This was a flop. People were laughing at parts of this movie. Next old man Cruise will be starring in the comedy Maverick 2. That should be a gut buster.

Tom Cruise needs to retire. He is too old for these movies. Him doing stunts is very funny.

Not recommended. The movie is laughably ridiculous. I just don't understand how this franchise this long. The second one was the best and it slowly got worse as each sequel came out.

If you rate lower than 3 stars. Your not a Tom cruise fan or you simple didn't understand the dialog. It is so good. Movie deserves to make 600+ millions. So come on people, take the time and go see it in IMAX where big screen with quality image and sound is the best to see movies like these.

I don't have much to say about this boring movie. The dialogue is awful and the effects are poor. Couldn't wait until it ended.

It reminded me of the Star Treks movies where the main characters were so old all they could do was remember the good old days. Boring and absurd. I cannot imagine why anyone would green light this script. Please bring back good writing!!!
