The plot is very dull for a film for Sino-Japanese war, story is too predictable and typical.

Straightforward action/sabotage war movie, kinda like Hogan's Heroe's but much more serious. The filming was fantastic. Achieved a real gothic 'film noir' sensation all through the movie. Railway Heroes was better, and not as propadandistic, as the good film Battle of Lake Chanjin. Both movies filmed in an arctic winter setting to almost make you feel you're actually there. All these Chinese citizens are portrayed as tragic heroes, and that's the sad thing. Otherwise go see this movie.
