Nowhere near as good as the first.

This movie is academy award material,superb acting and very credible with today's events at the mexican border.

If you saw the first one you have to see this one. Excellent it brought up things happening now at our border.... The performance of Benicio was Excellent!!!!! Can't wait to see the next one.

Loved this movie from beginning to end. Action, great characters. Alejandro's role even better in this sequel.

powerful gritty ,movie that show even more power and grit having Josh Brolin help save the girl yet going after Del Torio to kill. Very emotion trip with shock value to boot. Great 2nd showing.

well written in actual issues

Brolin and Del Toro deliver, I love their acting!!! Loved how the politics played out. Gritty! The teenage boy did an amazing job. The young girl is a rising star. Shocking scenes. Interesting end.

Movie is pleasantly entertaining, more action than first one, different story overall. Really like it except last 20 minutes where it gets emotional for a tough character like Brolin and kind of cheesy at the end, but of course can't wait for 3rd part if there will be one before they get too old to act.

As amazing as the first! Hollywood needs to make more movies like this. A breath of fresh air in a valley of cowardice.

Was nothing compared to the first movie which was exceptional all the way around. They should have had this movie stand on its own as some scenes were just too far fetched but movie was entertaining.

Sadly, they don't make movies like this very often these days. If you like action, great acting, and drama go watch this film. If you like Super Hero, brainless popcorn, special effects drivel with blurred action scenes...stay away...go watch Jurassic or Antman.

Sicario 2 is an excellent movie. As good as the first movie. The action sequences are well executed and staged. The performances continue to be first rate and the story is as powerful as the actual events taking place and as are reported daily on the Mexican American border. A lot to like with these two films and hopefully they have a third film in the works.

Why does this bad movie have four stars? I thought "oh it has four stars it must be decent" and went with my wife to see it. We watched part one the night before. The actors Benicio and Josh give you more of what you loved about their characters in the first movie but the movie is crap. The producers must have hired more writers and let them do whatever came to mind with a crap budget. The ending is just annoying. Is there a part three? Just a waste of money. Very disappointing. Don't waste your movie or trust the reviews.

The movie is riveting in its early stages, but complaints about the ending are bang on. Further, a movie about drug cartels should have some appearance of the drug cartel guys. All a bit strange....guru bob

Movie was really good....great production...but the ending totally sucked. The ending is a rip off because all it does is set up for a sequel.

Superior, fast-paced filmmaking. Superb film editing, sound tracking, and screenwriting combined with 'razors edge' naturalistic acting has resulted in this high-end action movie, hitting the mark as a tough, drug war, BLACK OPS combat movie. Thrilling scenes, one after another; tight, refined script; only wished it had gone 3 hours. Sets the standard for this genre.

Wow so much edge of chair suspense! The ending hopefully left a good starting point for the next Sicario movie that hopefully will include what happened to the girl at the end of this movie. Maybe the girl, the boy and the main actor in this movie will team up and continue the fight and take out revenge on all that wronged them in this movie.

Amazing movie!!! Josh Brolin is really coming into his own as a legit tough-guy, masculine, alpha male type character. Loved this movie!!!

Great cast, great seating, weak storyline. This sequel (like most) did not live up to or eclipse the original. There were way too many scenes that required the audience to make a leap to fill in the gaps, not good. Love Benicio who is an absolutely great actor, Josh is great as well. Unfortunately, The movie script/storyline does not live up to the cast assembled. They should have invested another 20 to 30 minutes in the movie to tie it all together with a quality ending. Side note: There were more than 30 minutes worth of previews and advertising before the movie ever started. Excessive.

While I wouldn't usually rate this movie a 5, I am a big fan of Benicio Del Toro (although like him a little better with a slite Spanish accent as oppossed to more "American "), but he is the reason I see this and his movies. Not overly graphic which is good movie making given the subject matter, and can't wait to see him in another one. In the eighties in central and south america it was the communist, now they blame cartels, not so sure underlying human rights and wealth inequalities have changed for the poor in Mexico etc, we should be putting political pressure and tariffs one these countries until they improve.

not as good as the first film in my opinion . It had it's moments but it also left you with an unanswered story line at the end . Better than Jurassic crap I guess.

Gritty and violent. Brolin and Del Toro were fantastic. Thought this movie was excellent. Would highly recommend it.

Overall a good movie. The suspense is palpable and your attention is kept up throughout the film. Unfortunatly the ending is so sudden it leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth and has you wondering what the hell is going on.

Good action though I left with a few unanswered questions but guess that could be answered in the next movie!!

Denis Villeneuve liked this sequel of is 2015 movie. I agree, this film explore other portions of the US/Mexico border dilemma. The casting is great, Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Toro and the young actress Isabela Moner are excellent.

Engaging with great story and acting. Thought the end was a bit forced, but it leaves room for more sequels.

I enjoyed this intense film with Mexican & American ties. Great storyline, kept me interested throughout. Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin were brilliant!

A good movie that delivers when it has to. Very timely storyline to the current political climate and relations between the U.S. and Mexico.

Good plot with lots of eye popping action

They should make more movies like this. Great story line, well produced, great actors. Hope there is another to the series....
