Interminable nonsense. Tolkien was a lousy writer and an incompetent storyteller. Jackson's career has been hit and miss but his Achilles Heal has always been pacing and overlength, so he was the worst choice to helm this; not to mention the fact his directorial indulgences come off as blatantly mastubatory here. This goes on and on and on and on...It might be useful as a sleeping aid for insomniacs.

The best movies of all time! Peter Jackson is the greatest director in the world! And Tolkien is a genius! :)
