The Machine

This is the most self indulgent piece of crap I've ever seen. This is nothing but an out of shape alcoholic narcissist telling the same joke for the millionth time.

For about 75-80%, I thought it was good. The remaining 20-25% was stupid, implausible, and sometimes downright nasty. If you view it as an off-beat or gonzo comedy, it works. It is not a great comedy. Don't expect great acting or a great story and you'll be fine. I didn't know the main guy was a comedian. I have my doubts. Mark isn't a great comedian either. It gives a picture of Russia that most people would find shocking. I did. I found the character Irina the best of them all.

Finally a new movie with dialog and situations instead of explosions and superheroes. I enjoyed this movie immensely, especially the culture contrast between Russia and the USA. Fearless party animal comedy wins the day...

Didn't like the star, the premise was pretty stupid & it just stayed at slightly below average. Perhaps kids would enjoy it, but we both thought it mostly sucked!
