We enjoyed this movie, the underlying story is put your family first. Money can't buy you love. Clint Eastwood plays a great part, you'd never know he is 88 years old!
Don't waste your time and money on this nonsense. Eastwood is all it has going for it. Thin plot, silly scenes and just not credible.
It was a snooze and disturbing all at the same time. Wish I could “un-see” a couple scenes. Love Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper BUT this film was Not their best, might even rank their worst.
Clint Eastwood still gives 100%. From the tv show Rawhide to Dirty Harry to The Mule, at the age of 88 he's still got it.
Clint is great as actor and director; loved it!
I find it fascinating that this 88 year old legend of the silver screen mostly known in the past for action entertainment movies of the rather brutal kind, finds the energy to come up with new movies with down to earth themes that are very much relevant today. American Sniper, Sully and The Mule rank among the best 'thought provoking' movies I have seen in my life.
Wonderful lessons in relationships, families, choices, and karma. I cried at least twice during the movie. Clint Eastwood is very insightful.
The movie moved really slow. Mostly just watched him driving and singing.
Clint Eastwood once again tells a story. You may not like his character or the subject, but he engages the audience. The action is not rapid fire cartoon characters blowing up things, and you have to think, gasp, something many moviegoers don’t like to do. There is actual acting and dialog here. I loved it
Somewhat true story. I liked the way Clint tells the stories in his maturity, I think he's almost ready for the "stay off my grass tale". Having watched my parents age and the loss of relationships is retold here, he salvages some. This movie is not for everyone, if you enjoy 😊 two and a half hours of cartoon movies you'll have to think here.
Clint is fantastic. Best of the best.
Excellent movie. Ol Clint still has it
Thumbs Down!!!
Another film about an old man in a situation you wouldn't think an old man would be in. Or be able to do at all. Drug mule for a cartel? But it happened. No doubt Clint Eastwood changed the story quite a bit, but if so he changed it really well. CE, and a very good supporting cast really draw you into this not-quite-redemption tale.
The sound on the movie was sometimes too low. Couldn't hear their mumbles.
The movie started out a little bit slow but than really drew you in. Don't listen to Rotten Tomatoes reviews..Clint Eastwood was excellent and it was a movie well worth seeing.
The usual Clintwood product. Very visual and story rich. Well worth the money with the other drivel playing lately Hamilton Spec review a way off as usual.
Ignore the Hamilton Spectator review. This is an engrossing movie about a greatly flawed man who gets himself in deep trouble, but comes to see how his actions have cost him dearly in his family relationships. He’s an 80 year old guy whose social skills are stuck in the 1950s. So, for instance, he refers to a black family as Negros. When they politely correct him that they are Blacks, he politely stands corrected. Clint Eastwood is great, as usual, as both actor and director. Worth seeing.
We love Clint Eastwood; always see his movies!! But must admit it was slow moving. Nice to see his real life daughter playing his daughter!!
I really hate to say this because I love Clint Eastwood but this movie was his worst. His character was dull and that was attributed to the character's life he was portraying. In addition, I didn't like the movie because I saw no sense in glorying a man's life just because he transported drugs as an old man. He had no scruples by not attending his daughters wedding. What a selfish narcistic character he was/is. Only thought about himself. I walked out thinking "really?" Sorry Clint... Still love you and would see your next movie.
Great story that only clint can tell so realistically.
Great movie very well done & realistic no hype or drama
For a guy with a past stature of 6’-4” he sure has shrunk a lot next to his costars. I just hope I age as well as him and keep the mental acuity that he has. He is an amazing talented guy. Movie was just so so.
ZZZZZZZ but the popcorn was very good. Not one clap at the end.
Save your money and go see A Star is Born for the second time. Clint Eastwood’s worst movie to date. He should forget about social issues in his movies, he does not pull them off well.
I love Clint Eastwood but this movie was awefull. Very slow moving. 30 minutes longer than it needed to be to tell the story. If you liked the Eastwood film “Bridges of Madison County” you may like this film. I hated that film. His worst.
Excellent Clint Eastwood’s best
The story unfolds in a smooth unpretentious way giving the audience a look at the lead character's point of view. The film has no political or P.C. ax to grind which is the hallmark of all Eastwood pictures. I recommend the film. It's one of the few this year unmarred by preachy political correctness.
Very nicely done drama. Smooth. Touches on a lot of side social issues in a subtle way. Eastwood lets the story unfold in a natural way without any gimmicks or cg or sentimentality to get in the way of the story. Has a pace sort of like Bridges of Madison County. He puts himself out there as the unvarnished old guy that he is. For a big star he has a lot of courage to show all the wrinkles of time. As if to say "hey, I'm old now....get over it!" Only he and maybe Redford would have the courage do that I think. Go see it.
Great movie with one of the best! Sad to see Clint Eastwood so aged but gosh can he still do a superb job acting!
Solid Gold
Great film with great acting from the master . Nice mix of drama and a little humor .
