very beautifully made. right out of a fantasy.

Friday, December 7, 09:38:49 PM

A little slow in spots but all in all an enjoyable movie. A good one for my sisters.

Thursday, November 22, 01:54:04 PM

Another lousy way from Disney to ruin a beautiful story.

Tuesday, November 20, 03:33:55 PM

It was ok..not one of my favourites this year. Could be a good rental!

Tuesday, November 20, 12:16:40 AM

To much spinning effected my vertigo. Thought it was awesome they put actual parts of the ballet in the movie

Saturday, November 17, 11:45:03 AM

No even closer to the real Nutcracker. Disney trying to change the original story that many of us love to watch. The real story is about a girl falling to sleep who steps into a magi world. This movie is totally bs. Dancing? Seriously? Just screen shots is all.

Saturday, November 17, 07:14:12 AM

I loved the experience of such fantasy. I only wish I watched this film as a child. I must say the ballet scene is probably the very best choreographed ballet I have ever scene.

Friday, November 16, 09:17:05 PM

Some good original fantasy writing, good dancing. The acting was pretty good, except for the Sugar Plum Fairy (a little overdone) and the Nutcracker (a little weak, not engaging). Overall I enjoyed it a lot. My wife's ballet studio does a Nutcracker every year--- it was kind of fun to see a different take on it.

Friday, November 16, 04:46:56 PM

Colourful and engaging on many levels this was a delightful cinematic experience. The dance sequences ( ballet - of course - it is The Nutcracker ! ) and the film score were marvelous. The only less than was the uneveness of the cast. While McKenzie Foy was well cast as the film's central character Clara, her soldier buddy Phillip ( portrayed by Jayden Fowler-Knight ) wasn't as convincing. But overall a splendid portrayal of a timeless tale with some modern updates where the liberties taken with the original story enhance rather than detract.

Another good story turned into garbage by Disney.

Thursday, November 15, 12:14:15 AM

Very enjoyable, a new yearly holiday movie for the family. It was beautiful. A good story, some drama and action, excellent dancing and music.

Tuesday, November 13, 09:51:24 PM

Not much to like nodded off twice

Monday, November 12, 08:39:43 PM

Terrible movie.

Monday, November 12, 10:46:51 AM

Boring...the acting was terrible and the plot was super slow / predictable..

Sunday, November 11, 08:52:56 PM

Disney ruined The Nutcracker.

Sunday, November 11, 06:23:33 PM

visually stunning, like the actors and the different twist they put on the movie as i never saw the play, but the down sides were the fruity light on the loafers frozen and flower guys, it was too short, the plot was typical and it was wrap up in a little tiny bow in the end, and with guest appearances by MC hammer dancing his baggy pant off, if they put into a more better plot and took out the gay stuff this could of been a better movie, my rating two and half star and 7 out of 10, just ok not bad and not great

Sunday, November 11, 01:08:06 PM

I was planning to take my 4 grandchildren but decided to see it first with my 9 year old granddaughter. We have loved the story of the Nutcracker, but this was dark and creepy. We did not like it at all. I decided a lot of the mouse scenes were far too scary for the younger ones. This was a big Disney disappointment!

Saturday, November 10, 05:52:22 PM

Graphically it was beautiful But the story line was dumb and weak. Also the ending with the ballet dancers was ridiculous. If the male dancer had on a beautiful costume instead of just a white leotard it may have passed. But the fact that my four grandchildren, ages 6,9, and 11 and 12 could not stop laughing. In fact most of the audience laughed. Totally did not fit the ending. Sorry but this was not worth seeing. They all agreed.

Absolutely loved this movie. & the great soundtrack. Little if anything has been mentioned about the music, which was performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra of London & world renowned concert pianist Lang-Lang.. As a musician & music lover , the music was perfectly in sync with action on the screen. Light & lyrical, & very dramatic when called for. An Academy Award Soundtrack nominee at least. In their infinite wisdom & arrogance, critics, you have to dismiss.! They seem to confuse reality with fantasy , where not everything is perfect. The costumes, sets , humor, & music, made this a magical experience.. Humor was directed at both adults & children. I chuckled at what seemed more complex than necessary just to lift a gate, by the Captain .But maybe they wanted to imitate the security measures today.. (: Although , not that goodness defeats evil, as the primary message, but what the message in the egg ( a gift from claras' mother ) represented, Go with an open mind & leave your critique hat at home & enjoy a wonderful movie.. Will be seeing it again.

Friday, November 9, 07:30:22 PM

Just incredible eternal music by Tchaikovsky and spectacular cinematography and adaptation of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King into a stunning visual and magical movie. Perfect for all ages. Highly recommended. Another great day at the movies!

Thursday, November 8, 11:23:47 AM

The movie was fine in the begining but after she entered to the magic world the movie went down the hill. Disney should not touch The Nutcracker story.

Wednesday, November 7, 05:48:44 PM

Keep your mind open, this is not a repeat or re-enactment of the Nutcracker ballet, but a colorful and creative story using Clara and the Nutcracker as a foundational base. Very colorful and creative.

Wednesday, November 7, 02:09:08 PM

I thought the movie was very slow and rather silly. I did not like it at all. It was boring most of the time.

Tuesday, November 6, 05:02:47 PM

I rated 1 star because negative not an option. worst movie ever. dumb plot, way too creepy for kids, incest implied, disgusting waves of rats, awful use of talented actors. i walked out, asked for my money back.

Tuesday, November 6, 06:17:07 AM

Another of Disney's magical movies made for all young at heart with a similar theme that the Wizard of Oz has & will most likely become a classic played around Christmas each year on your TV

Monday, November 5, 01:28:06 PM

I enjoyed this movie right from the beginning to end. This one is colorful and fast paced. thumbs up

Saturday, November 3, 08:13:32 PM

This movie is one HUGE piece of eye candy. I was glued to the screen the whole time. The story was awesome and with the Disney magic, it was super special to watch.

Saturday, November 3, 04:14:57 PM

A modern twist on a classic. Misty Copeland was amazing!

Friday, November 2, 10:14:24 PM

Musical of the year!

Friday, November 2, 11:49:08 AM

Must-see. 5/5

Thursday, November 1, 04:24:34 PM

Why didn't they leave the original story alone? It's a classic.

Thursday, November 1, 12:18:36 PM

I really wasn't impressed by this movie as it was boring! I could have enjoyed staying home much better.
