The Party

A very good film, though not commercial. Lots of laughter at the screening I attended. A satire/farce with some beautifully comedic moments and excellent ensemble work from the stellar cast. Very glad to have seen it.

I don't think this is a movie for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. It was a little slow going at first, but it picked up momentum quite quickly. The dialogue is great. More reminiscent of a play than a typical film, which is refreshing. Again, it definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea, but if you appreciate foreign or independent films, I think this will be up your ally.

Worst movie I think I have ever seen. Wasted an hour of my life. At the end of the movie all you could hear were gasps of disbelief and when the lights came on everyone was talking about the ending. Walking out moviegoers were saying what a waste of money. I have never seen such a strong reaction to a movie. Don't waste your time and money!
