Episodic whitewash of the villainous Thatcher.
i loved meryl streeps' performance but the movie fell terribly short. there was far too much emphasis on her dementia. i would have preferred to see the struggle for the rise to power as well as her actual prime ministership as well. great performance by streep but i don't think she should have won the oscar over viola davis.
amazing movie! for people who gave it low ratings and bad comments, you are crazy!! she won an oscar and the movie was bomb.
streep is above average in this movie.....but the movie itself is far below average. slow and dull.
nope...
this film had an interesting structure, excellent acting and use of make-up to help streep span decades of thatcher's life. very well done!
other than streep's acting being good, not even sure why they made this movie! zzzzzzzzz
horrible!!
good movie if you like to fall asleep in the theatre.
this movie is a slam dunk for five stars!!! i enjoyed this film immensely. meryl streep as done it again. what a magnificent talent in the craft of acting!!
to play the power house lady you need a powerful actress - meryl streep does this movie a great justice - i learned more about the history of thatcher from this movie than in all my history classes and reading! well done - she deserves an oscar nod at least.
while streep was...well streep, the movie lacked any creativity and style. in short, it was boring.
meryl is brilliant as margaret thatcher. the movie does not intend to just be a biopic. bravo to lloyd and morgan for looking at thatcher through the present - dimentia is a part of life. and so kudos for exploring it with sensitivity and still presenting the world of an important political figure in the twentieth century - a woman who was not afraid to change the world.
depressing and disappointing. more about dementia in her later years than her success as a politician.
an interesting movie about dementia and how it can affect all of us...not really a movie about thatcher. streep was amazing.
this movie is about dementia not margaret thatcher. the leftist hated margaret thatcher and hate her even now. less than 10 minutes of the movie is about the challenges she faced and her achievements
streep never fails, but the movie does!
loved streep's performance...but she deserved more..as did thatcher herself. the movie was a huge let-down. poorly written and crafted. a wasted performance by streep.
tour de force acting on meryl streeps part plus the makeup that went on...incredible. but the movie itself is not great. she deserves an oscar though.
although the movie contains one of the best performances of our generation - streep as margaret thatcher is brilliant, the movie is a bit of a let down.
great character, great acting, great movie.
did not like the movie - streep was great but the movie was disappointing and at times depressing. it focused on the present day and thatcher's dementia and hallucinations, there was a limited focus on her career.
streep was great stoty weak too much old footage
the story didn't explain her political career at all. very disappointing.
excellent! oscar for streep.
acting was exception. story was disappointing. to much time spent on margaret's dementia. thought it would be about her magnificent career. i think her family would not be happy about this movie.
fantastic movie! did not want it to end
Academy award for Meryl Streep.
Meryl Streep was brilliant in portraying Thatcher.. movie was very interesting and informative. Only set back for me , was that too much time went into Thatcher's later years rather than her rising political career and her years in office, none the less worth the admission
Meryl is excellent in personifying Margareth Thatcher. I am fascinated by her determination and courage in leading her party and eventually the country. She is the best of the best !
Meryl Streep gives an amazing performance!!!
