Tragic but ultimately redemptive true story about the experiences of a convent of Polish nuns during WW 2. Story of the Red Cross doctor who rescued them allows for a certain emotional balance with atrocities of war. Great photography. Wonderful performances. As a women's picture, not to be missed.
