Loved it!! Exactly like the book. The actors were amazing!
Jian Ghomeshi would love ths film.
The best date movie since Ghost.
Loved this film !! Can't wait to see next
Horrible. No chemistry between these two. Completely the wrong actor to play Christian. He's handsome, but not seductive, sexy, appealing or masculine. If they change to cast for the next one, I'll watch it. If not, zero chance. It absolutely sucked
I enjoyed the movie, sex is such a small part of it people need to relax. Maybe read the books first.
Loved it!!
I do feel it stayed true to the books, It was intense, passionate, and they adapted it tastefully, It felt a little slow, and a little armature in parts. We did enjoy it and will look forward to the second one, but feel it needs something more. The actors did a good job.
This movie did the book justice! Can't wait until the other two sequels come out!
i actually liked this movie a lot. the only downside would be the music is so misplaced in this movie.. like the moments don't match the songs. but overall was pleased. definitely movie theater worthy.
The hype has sold this film because it could have been so much better. Director's concept is way off - or not even near to a story about love between and young girl and young man. He's clearly damaged and says so, and succeeds in cold business deals but not relationships he doesn't control. She is a young, naive young girl who is manipulated and hurt by this sick guy. Sex scenes only so so because of lack of intimacy.
It was a pretty decent movie ..
The wife dragged me to this movie.... 9 1/2 weeks had much more passion and chemistry in it. The only good thing about this movie is way that the wife thanked me for going....
Was a long valentine's weekend at work, 4 co-workers and myself hit the theater Sunday night Feb 15th after closing the restaurant. We went to the 9:45 pm showing at our Landmark Theatre in Sylvan Lake, Alberta....All of us had a great time we thought the movie was awesome and have plans to see the next one when it comes out. Our age group is 45-60.
like the movie
I enjoyed the movie
Loved the movie! Dakota played a great Ana and Jamie is sexy as hell! Perfect Christian Grey! Can't wait for the second one to start filming in June!
Loved it
Terrible movie, abusive relationship, all sex scenes are really just a variation of vanilla sex anyway, so whatever this is, it's not BDSM, it's not 50 shades of grey, it's 50 shades of brown.
Very disappointed with the whole movie.....
95% audience were women. Many many very young girls and young teenage boys. A few old geezers. This attempt of smut is a joke. The film is not worth paying for.
Save your money. This movie is no good.
There were so many small details that didn’t add up with this movie. It's not well made or written and the acting sucks. No chemistry between the two main characters.
A big let down.
I'm so disappointed. I expected it to be good base on so many people and top sales. What a let down.
I have no words for this movie. Waste of time. Terrible acting and storyline. Stick to the book!
movie was filmed well she played a good part and drew you in but something was missing over all and it left me disappointed , I was expecting it to be much much better and it was not ....so sad , everyone was expecting this to be a great film but it did not make the grade I blame the director it could have been much better the material to work with was all there, to bad they could not capture it on film
A sad exploitation of women.
Despite the complete over-hype of this movie, I went in with low expectations and it ended up being better than I had anticipated. I still don't think that Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were the right choice for these roles, but they played them to the best of their ability. Would have liked to see more chemistry between the two of them, I think it would have helped the movie tremendously. That being said, I did enjoy the movie, and for the most part it stayed fairly true to the book.
If your date finds this stuff romantic, you may want to reconsider your future with him/her.
Any wonder we have a problem with domestic violence?
It was not about the sex! Loved the story, so romantic.
If you liked the book you will enjoy the movie because you know what to expect. I think Dakota was really good as Anastasia. Christian.... not so much.
What can I say, a lot of hype, but the hype doesn`t help it. Save your money and see something else.
I read all three books and like many others had my own idea of who should be cast in the two main roles, however I think Hollywood got it right. Dakota J, a relative inexperienced actress pulled it off and as her role was the most difficult, I give her cudos for literally baring her all for her craft. Jamie D played his broody, sardonic part beautifully and of course was a joy to watch. Was it an epic movie? No....after reading the books I knew what was coming, but I think that the movie was true to the writing. Wish that people would see that the bondage and S&M wasn't the main story though of course that's what brought it into everybody's homes. It's the compromise and transitioning in
Wonderfully done and funny at times!
Dakota was fantastic! I think she will become a familiar face in Hollywood! Just heard it made 90 million!
So incredibly romantic and passionate! Loved every second!
Fantastic movie! Worth seeing!
Wonderful romantic story. Tastefully done. Really listen to what is said.
