A great action movie from start to finish, with a strong perormance from lead Butler. It won't win an Oscar, but it sure will satisfy those who like to see things blown up !

This movie was total crap....glad I didn't pay to see it in the movie theatre. Sadly my friend wasted money on the DVD.

This movie was excellent. Way to go to Gerald Butler for producing this movie with Antonie Fuqua. I like the movie since from the very start til it is done.

highly idiotic, but yet entertaining and fun....Gerald Butler is a joy to watch.

This was up there as one of the worst movies ever seen. Actor’s lines were laughable, story line was pathetic, effects were crap and action could have been great if it wasn't let down by the fact that after watching this movie it feels like anyone can kidnap the president… and every time I hear the word America all I can think of is the president slow motioning it down a hallway. There’s only so much propaganda people can swallow. As for the people that rated this 4-5 star and said things like “This is an action movie what more do you except from it” I would just like to point out that this is to rate the movie overall not parts of the movie..

Absolute waste of time and money. I could not wait for this movie to end. The actors never made this story believable and the main character should have easily have been killed early in the movie. Sorry but allowing any group of terrorists to get that close to the White House insults the people who have made Intelligence a central focus of their lives. This film insults the security personnel in Washington and makes them look like incapable bumbling idiots.

Silly....but entertaining. Butler is fun to watch.

Great action movie! Through some may criticize lack of character development, etc. THEY need to be realistic. Its an ACTION MOVIE - yes lots of explosions, guns, blood, gore etc. Movies, in general, are NOT realistic and usually not intellectual. If you require either of those things in your escapism never ever watch movies or read books again. If you are an action fan, you will love it.

Solid action flick. Not too much character development but honestly - not the purpose of this movie. Constantly exciting, action non-stop. Good one liners. Personally enjoyed it a lot - although be ready for a crap-ton of blatant American propaganda.

This movie was very good. It had a lot of action. Dylan McDermott doesn't play good as a bad guy. Well done to the cast except for the bad guys. For the most of the people who doesn't like this movie should go hang themselves. This is an action movie what more do you except from it....

Lots of excitement,action and suspense. Makes you think of things that could happen, even though this scenario is a little far fetched. Hopefully the Whitehouse has a better handle on security than this fictitious story. Still a great movie, worth 5 stars.

One of the worst movies ever. No suspense, no character development, just explosions, gunfire and a ludicrous plot. The only good thing -- it's a good movie to laufgh about and pick holes in afterwards, for maybe 10 minutes

It's a (fairly) mindless action movie full of guns, explosions and knives being stuck everywhere. Blood, explosions everywhere... Did I mention explosions? Look if you expecting an Oscar worthy drama, you're going to be dissappointed. If you want crazy carnage and stuff going BOOM then run, don't walk, to your local theatre. To those of you rating this 1 star, you are either pretentious fools or stooges falsely rating the movie.

Such a terrible movie. Unending carnage and US propaganda. Some parts are so unrealistic that they are actually laughable. .

Absolutely loved it. Lots of action, great story, great actors. They didn't seem to make the villain very 'easy to hate' but all in all a good movie. Curious to see the new White House Down movie... The plot looks oddly close to this one.

If you like constant and mean constant killing then this is your movie

This movie is what it is. Very good entertainment and a little window into "what may very well be out there".

If you want totally unrealistic unbelievable action this movie is for you. The ending of this movie was way too cheesy for my liking..

This movie seems to believe that most movie goers can evaluate a movies quality based on only 1.Greater # of explosions + greater explosions. 2. Much greater gun play and 3. Complete rejection of any reality or critical thinking.

Good action movie. I liked it better then the new Die Hard. If you liked Under Seige, you'll like this. Better acting and action. The White House assault is worth the price of the ticket.

Interesting story considering how N Korea is acting these days, entertaining but yet another American propaganda film, highly improbable

A good action movie but heavy on the American propaganda. One man hero saves the day (an Irishman at that). I love Gerard Butler but this one man act was hard to swallow.
