Had so looked forward to seeing this movie, but was very disappointed. I've only seen one previous 3-D movie since 1959, so you can imagine how impressed I was. The story, however, totally lacked. Keifer Sutherland, really??? WHAT was the accent he was trying to achieve?? (he missed it). I wouldn't waste your money....it's a long drawn out short movie with a very disappointing ending - other than the volcano...she did GREAT...oh, and the horse. Wait for the DVD.
just went and saw this movie tonight...it actually was not that bad...if any thing i would say this movie was a victim of bad editing. it should have been 1/2 hour longer and did a little more character development. there were parts that felt rushed and they introduced things that made assumptions of the audiences... but truthfully i was entertained for the whole time..for a disaster movie. it was decent... some reviews say there were enough signs to make people run. not really... if you are expecting a riveting thought provoked movie this is not it.. for some fun and action.. its not bad...
Horrible movie. They stole characters/scenes from fabulous films. Come on! Give us something new. Lazy writing. And Sutherland's performance was laughable.

A great epic movie, combining the best of Gladiator and the Titantic : action, disaster, and everlasting love, all rolled into one ! The special effects are just top of the class, especially with the volcano erupting ! GLAD that I didn't listen to those so-called film critics !
Yes this movie will appeal to history buffs and doubtless be used as a teaching tool in the classroom but it's also ridiculously entertaining.
The story was wrk action ok but not nearly enough to carry this movie!
This is a good movie for those under the age of 14. The really lame love story (acted out by B-class actors) took over any somewhat ok aspects of this movie. The effects were less than par for a 3D movie. Overall I was really pissed I wasted $26 on this movie (for two tickets). Sadly the preview is VERY misleading!
