The Last Exorcism

I think this movie was very well done, taken from a different perspective. you can't go into this movie expecting a remake of 'the exorcist.' the main character is trying to prove that exorcisms are fake and that religious people are gullible, and its just a living for him. but he discovers more than the real deal. More occult than demon possession story. good movie.

i'm glad i didn't listen to most of the critique of this film as it being a dud. It was a good film. evil dead, paranormal activity, cloverfield, blair witch, if you like those ones, you'll like this one. The ending was awesome.

This movie was extremely slow moving all throughout.... It was a documentary mixed with the Blair witch Project... It was not was it seemed especially since the previews made it look like a go see movie, it was an epic fail! Im telling everyone I know not to see this movie

Not really all that scary, but the plot is somewhat interesting, with a different angle to it. It gives a little bit of a different view on exorcisms.

Super chilling and freaky as heck. Watch it with friends, not alone, or else you won't be sleeping that night. not a wink.

I liked it! Expected it to be scary at least after the first 10 minutes, but they stretched the non-scary part for the first hour. The way the girl stared into the camera was very creepy! This movie is not as scary as The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

terrible movie. Cant figure why they'd even let it play. Everyone leaving the show was saying they wanted their money back. Too much like the blair witch project. Amateur. This is nothing like the original.

Worth watching? Maybe. But not worth the ticket price. Not super scary, but the way it was shot, plot-wise, was an interesting twist.

Omg! Wut a joke! This movie was the shittiest movie I have EVER seen, worst movie of all time, It was suppose to be horror movie but to me was a comedy, so was laughing the whole time. OMG, do NOT believe the Rotten Tomatoes rating!! This movie is HORRIBLE! I was expecting it to be as scary as the Ring or Parnormal Activity, but it just ended up falling completely flat! Half of the movie is spent building toward a scary climax that never really gets off the ground. The plot makes very little sense and it uses so many devices from other horror films that it just ends up being a somewhat incoherent mess (it's like a bastardized version of Blair Witch crossed with Rosemary's Baby). I wish I could get my money and the hours of my life back. Seriously -- don't go!

Very unique, an interesting spin on the whole 'exorcism' concept. I didnt expect it to be this unique. Excellent combination of humour and fear. I recommend giving it a try

They wasted alot of time in the beginning too much pointless diaglogue just get to the good stuff...nobody cares....all that camera shaking pissed me off and that annoying girl in the theatre who kept screaming for no reason.They set it up like its going to have such a big climatic ending not even, it just ends with more questions unanswered.More comedy than horror.The part with the cat was senseless, sick and unnecessary.Why didnt the idiots check the camera that the dumb girl had in her hand.maybe that could have answered some of their questions dumb assess...Seriously dont rent this crap when it comes out, such a waste of time. There seems to be a lot of backlash against this movie but I am not sure why. I don't expect too much from a horror movie and I actually liked the character-driven plot. It is true that the characters make some dumb moves but who cares! Just go with it.

i thought this movie was gonna be really scary...but it wasnt i laughed more than i was scared..the ending was terrible..and some parts that were supposed to be scary i found funny...and the lights in the theatre were on the entire movie so kind of ruined the expirence... all in all it was an ok movie. wait for dvd.

I had high hopes for this movie. At first, I didn't even want to watch this movie because it seemed scary. Boy, was I wrong! Very disappointed how it ended. Disappointed overall. Usually I would read reviews on the movie. If there is low rating, I may go because people have different opinions. But the reviews on this movie was right. Don't waste your money on this one.

Dont let Eli Roth's name on the poster fool you; this is not a horror film. The images you see in the poster are never even shown in the movie. For the first 60 minutes of this 87 minute film, you get absolutely nothing in terms of shock value. Instead, it is actually quite funny... I dont think movie should be labeled or depicted as a horror film because it is not. Unfortunately, if you're like me and were hoping to see a good scary movie, this is not it. I'm going to inquire to Eli about a refund.

I would say this movie was a big waste of my money and my Friday night. It was not at all what i thought it would (in terms of the hand held filming for the ENTIRE movie) as well as the documentary part at the beginning about the priest talking about what he does (USELESS! NOBODY CARES!)....this movie definitely fell flat!

Not bad...but there were some really interesting aspects to it. Some of it was a little too much like 'Blair Witch'. But worth checking out if you like thrillers.
