i think the ring shoud be nominated for the best horror movie of the year

Well,its a movie that,once again,has no real story line,at best,it is a poor movie.

Very scarry, very brilliant without all the blood and gore nice to see for a change,scarriest movie I have seen in years. 6 thumbs up if I had 6. I still can`t go into the living room in the dark for fear the tv will turn on, man I would crap myself. even the guys were covering their eyes in the theater. creapy,creapy,creapy.Don`t know if I could watch it again unless there is someone else in the room so I could scare them at the same time. HE! HE! HE!

The best ghost stories leave you guessing right up until the very end and don`t rely on endless scenes of gore and dark closets to punctuate the suspense. `The Ring` is a perfect example of how a good ghost story *should* be told ...right up to the verrrrrrryyyyy end (Boo!).

I just recently saw the movie and it was so f*** boring, I laughed my head off and was not the least bit "scared" or "thrilled"

I thought it was great....even though I thought the ending was going to come at least 5 different times.

It`s the after effect that scared the carp out of me, after you see the beggining you know when it`s going to be scary, so you can cover your face and let the people your with tell you how they wished they covered thier faces ;)

For those of the comments that says anything about The Ring being boring or not so creepy, there`s only one explanation: THEY DON`T GET THE STORY!!! It`s got a 4.3 Stars rating, see it and believe it!!! Enough SAID!!! DL

There were definetely scenes from that movie that could hunt you forever, images that will make you scream out from horror and pure discust. Though overall the movie isn`t scary, and i would give it 4 stars out of 5.

My boyfriend and i went to the movies last night which was November the 10th 2002 and it was very scarry but very good .We both were very thrilled with the movie.

Any open-minded person would appreciate this movie. Instead of the unrealistic, gory scary movie, this was a more psychological disturbing film (which is more scary in my opinion). I had to sleep with my light on, kept having visuals of the scariest part of the film that includes Samara (for those who have seen the movie, you know what I am talking about). We need more scary films such as this one. I give 2 thumbs up but I don`t think I could bring myself to watch it again.

i absolutely could not take my eyes off the film...it was very scary and i loved every minute of it!!!

The Japanese version is much better and I`ll tell you why. When Americans remade this movie, they added special effects, music and basically made it all hollywoody. The Japanese version was more in a form of a documentary, so it was extremely realistic. The Japanese captured the essence of fear while americans turned some of that into suspense, which of course is totally different. If you want to really get scared, download the japanese version with english subtitles. but don`t watch it alone.

i think that this movie is the best thriller i have ever seen. I`ve seen lots of other horror movies but none ever scared me like this one. an amazing 2 thumbs up!!!!!!

Disturbing...I was pleasantly surprised, hard to scare me... think I`ll go watch a Walt Disney movie now.

After watching it the first time, I had to sleep with my lights on for my 7 days...I had to watch it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great movie, but needed a better ending and a more elaborate explination of certain events and situations in the movie. Over all the cinimatography was amazing!!!!!

Naomi Watts was excellent - real. She elevates the film. Truly frightening, and I see all the horror flicks. While not as shudder-making as `The Exorcist` or `The Shining` it is certainly in the next echelon. If you think about it just a little the end makes sense. Visually stunning.

I wouldn`t say it`s a scary movie... there`s a lot of scary parts but it`s not SCARY. It`s a good movie, i give it 5 stars
