I thought it was great. I think I will only go and see films that critics hate. This movie got such bad ratings from critics and I thought it was awesome. I think if you are into vampires then you will like this movie. The Male actors could have been better cast. Kate was perfectly cast. Action was great and I loved the story line. It wasn`t complicated like the critics said it was. I hope there is a second part.

Great storyline! Great action, but wait...great storyline! The action was decent enough, but the storyline was awesome! I like these kind of movies anyway, then u throw in vamps and wwolfs, well thats 5 star right there hehe. good plot twists, and i believe they are making a trilogy out of the story aka matrix style! so anyways kate beckinsale is hot and speedman did a decent job. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED MOVIE for those who love blade series, queen of the damned etc.

Was a very well done film. Origional. It`s nice to see a story between Vamps and Werewolves and still not making it disappointing. It`s nothing like the Matrix, so don`t expect it to be. Dark and rainy, much like the Crow and Blade.

A mix of Blade, The Crow, and matrix with warewolves!!! this movie was good worth your money!

Very disappointing. A collection of ideas from other films thrown together in matrixesque black lycra and leather and filmed through the same blue filter for every scene. Remember the flesh slide from Johnny Mnemonic, Ghost Ship, and Thirteen Ghosts? The obligatory sewer scenes from Blade II, Vamp, and pretty much any other pseudo-horror action flick? This one has them all - cliché on cliché. TO add insult to injury the vampires use guns in every scene, resorting to fangs maybe twice in the whole film. Do these undead ever feed?

AS MUCH FUN AS THE MATRIX! A new, hip take on vampires and werewolves. Good action with a solid story line with twists that make you wanting more!

If you liked Blade then you`ll like Underworld. It`s got some great action and the movie has a pretty good story behind it as well that makes sense. Kate Beckinsale did a damn good performance and was very convincing in her role as a "Death Dealer". It`s got a subtle romance story behind it but not the cheesy, wishy washy type that tends to ruin the whole dang movie. All in all, you get good action, good vampire/werewolf stories and some romance. Good special effects too. Worth watching in the theatres.

All I have to say if WOW! This gives new live to the Vampire and Werewolf story line. Kate Beckingsale (Selene)would give other hunters a run for their money. Watch out Blade!!!

very dark, but excellent movie - good plot twists. All about doing the right thing, for the right reasons. A must see at the theather.

Kate Beckinsale is a beautiful and talented actress who is completely wasted in this shallow mediocrity. The visuals are nice for a little while, but soon get boring enough, with no substance whatsoever to support them. Director, Len Wiseman, who has absolutely no idea how to develop or express characters or story, should go back to doing rock videos.... a forum where "looks" are everything and substance is incosequential.... something he clearly understands. Disapointing.

I thought Underworld was the best movie i have ever seen. The special effects were wonderful and the story was awsome. A the music was excellent.
