Great Movie! Horrible Ending.

This movie was awsome. I loved it from beginning to end. I give it 5 stars. Totally worth watching.

Really well done, but not perfect. People seem to be complaining about the romance but thats how its supposed to be. They really captured the akward teen phase extremley well. It was also extremly funny. In fact some parts were alot better than in the book. The only thing wrong with it was the ending seemed slightly rushed. Hopefully because they're cutting the 7th in half that won'yt happen again.

This is another movie in which you should ignore the negative reviews. And to all you people who hated it because of the romance... this just so happens that this is a HP movie that's supposed to have romance in it (if you don't believe me, then read the book). Great movie!!!

The best yet! "Half-Blood Prince" is a high-flying adventure in the tradition of "Escape from Witch Mountain" and "Barb Wire."

I keep reading how that's how teens are in, all that crap romance. Not true during WWII how many 16 year olds were more concerned with the cause and not personal love. I guess with the protectionist attitude towards kids that is a typical response. Let us remember when a great evil arises people worry about love potions instead of the history of the evil to prevail because that makes sense.

Since when is Harry Potter about Ron's love life. This movie added nothing to the story line and did not develop any characters. Thought this was when Harry was supposed to get dark, not a whiny b****

I just finished watching it, it was the worst film out of all of em. I think as word of mouth gets around the sales will fall for this movie. I am personally going to tell everyone to wait and just download or rent it after it comes out. What the hell was up with the choppy dialogue, hardly a proper sentence is uttered throughout the film. Every scene seemed like an eternity yet left me feeling like it was rushed all the way through. A total of 9 months wasted, Yates the moron could have focused on this film instead of starting to film the last two movies (WHY?!). I mean the Order was bad, but bearable this was just garbage. Beautifully done and some great acting on the parts of the young actors - as well as the rest of the cast. The movie followed the book very well - you can't put the whole of a book that size into a movie unless you want to sit there for five hours. I wonder if some of the people who are making such negative comments read the book. an awesome movie and well worth seeing in the theater.

Waste of time probably wanna make more money out of the movie and that's all no significant plot or theme the worse out of all harry porter movies

Absolutely loved it!!

As a follower of the movies, this was well done. As a follower of the books, this was a let down. There were many scenes from the books that were cut, which I am ok with. But I think they cut too much. Could have been beeter. But at the end of the day, take it for what it is and just be entertained. Still better then the fourth one, which is still the worst in the series.

Mediocre at best. I had high hopes and was disappointed at the teenage love story and lack of any other character development. I thought HP was supposed to be about magic? There was hardly any!!

DISAPPOINTMENT...loved the other movies even though they cut stuff out but this movie serves no point what so ever. I honest was so bored that i wanted to leave half way through it. If you want to see I recommend waiting until it comes out on dvd and Rent. Spending the money at the theatre is a huge waste, wish i could get a refund. They should really get another director for the next one. Not even excited to see the next two after this let down.

I loved the HP6 book, I can't believe they took so much out of the book. They should have left it the way the book intended. Very disappointed.

Great movie! Funny and Romantic its a must see!

To me as reader of the books this movie was very disappointing and left me wanting more, some of the most important scenes in the book were cut. I realize that they could only do so many scenes but they put in a lot of pointless scenes that did nothing to get the whole point across. I rated it 1/5.

When it was over I thought, "hmm, that's it??" I was disappointed, the editing was poor, there were scenes that didn't seem to belong, I can only guess that it is setting up for the next movie. If you are a HP fan you will have to see it, but don't set your expectations high.

it was excellent. there were some favorite parts of the book missing, but overall it was still a great movie. can't wait for the dvd.

Overall a great movie if you have simply been following the movie series, but quite different if you are a follower of the books. I enjoyed the movie for what it was, but I wish that they could have incorporated a bit more of the story from the books into it. But, regardless, I am such an HP fan that I would probably enjoy anything that brings my favorite characters to life, even if it isn't quite as vivid as my own imaginings of them.

How is anyone rating this movie 5/5?!?!? Are you kidding yourself because you love Harry Potter that much? This was a 2/5 movie because it was unwarrantedly long, put too much focus on the "romance" and not enough of key aspects of the story, and the climatic portion of the movie was played off insignificantly. Let me say, I never read the books but I did enjoy all the other movies. I, literally, fell asleep at least 3 times during this movie.

please dont read the bad reviews. there all just angry transformers fans. lol this movie was great. 8/10 and for for love of god, take it for what its worth. still better then 3/4 of the crap that has come out this summer (transformers, terminator, x-men)

This was easily one of the worst movies I have seen in many years. When everyone is saying there is no action it doesn't mean just no fight scenes, it means no action of any kind, story or otherwise. The plot was largely left out of this movie and what was left in was condensed into about half on hour near the end. The rest was filled with teen romance garbage to appeal to the teenage girls who like Twilight and things like that. HBP was my favorite of the Potter books, and easily the most interesting entry in the series, so its sad to see that the movie was wasted on ignoring the story and creating pointless boring, poorly acted filler.
