King Kong sets a new standard for film remakes!

Good movie-some drawn out scenes-didn`t feel like 3 hrs-Andy Serkis deserves an Oscar nod.

King Kong was the best movie of 2005 - hands down. The only problem is that some auidences may have a problem with the length of the movie. Even though Peter Jackson has lost all the weight, he still seems that have a problem cutting the fat from his films...

The original King Kong is a great story. It has been made in more than one good movies in the past. This one, in every aspest, is the worst and most terribily done. It is so bad that I am afraid it may have killed the legend of King Kong.

It was a pretty awsome movie...even though it was 3 hours long it really didnt seem that long. the only thing that i didnt really like is the beginning because it was kinda slow...but overall pretty good.

"Long and boring" Psch as if!! BEST GOSH DARN MOVIE OF THIS YEAR.. or last year if you want to get technical... but yes its got like dinosaures that go.. "grrr" and its all like .. COOL!!!

One of the best movie I`ve seen in a long time. The graphics were just remarkable. I suggest everyone to see this movie.

Omg!!I loved it well the Narnia movie was better!!But i love monkeys and it was soo lovley!!leave the poor thing alone!!It onley wanted the girl it had to dye cause they keeped on killing him! The special effects were well done, however the suspension of disbelief required for the never ending dinosaur attacks was beyond belief for me. Ideal movie for the masses.

a bit too long.. they didn`t need to be on the island for so long. but the silent connection was caputured beautifully! I never expected this film to be so amazing.. it completely exceed my expectations! It has landed a spot on my favourite`s list. -AJ

I thought It was good, I loved it. The creepy dark people scared me lol. It was scary and sad.. Very good. Even though its three hours long.. I encourage all to see it. It was good!! _chLoee

**CAUTION - SPOILERS** This is a rental that should be saved for a big-screen-tv - sorry, Peter Jackson. Unless you specifically want to see the Kong-sized effects in a theatre, wait for the rental. This is so long and drawn out that I was literally dozing off after the first hour, then went out for popcorn at the 2-hour mark to keep myself awake. There are so many unnecessary pauses and emotive close-ups that the first two hours drag the story into oblivion before Kong ever shows his face. Once you (finally!) arrive on the island, it turns into what looks like an attempt at "Lord of the Rings meets Jurassic Park" - slow-mo visuals, cave d

King Kong was a pretty decent movie, however at 3 hours long quite a tiresome movie. I felt a lil tired near the end though this movie is a great aritistic endeavour. =) i recommend this movie because its entertaining but a tad long for my personal taste.

v nice movie... really enjoy it...but rather sad when King Kong died at the end. Would rather they return him to the Mother Nature instead.

Very well done movie, effects were awesome. Kong looked amazing. Very far fetched. Keep think yeah right. Very long looked at my watch a couple time, if you wanna see cool effects go see it. Otherwise watch for it to come out on video.

i was disappointed.........everyone made such a big hype aout this movie so i finally decided to go watch it. first of all: needed to be cut down in length, second: better actors needed, third: less gory deaths, fourth: bugs weren`t needed except to make ppl sick to thier stomachs, and finally: the constant "every corner you turn on will result in another attack" gets REALLY annoying. all i give props to is the computer graphics, but thats not what makes a movie peter jackson!

Adrien Brody`s role was very poorly written. The "love story" between him and the girl was completely forced and not developed in the least. The only good parts of this movie were the quiet scenes between Kong and the girl. The rest was ridiculously over the top, and the action, believe it or not, was the least entertaining part of the film. The action scenes just went on forever. An OK movie but I recommend waiting for rental.

THE BESTEST MOVIE EVER :p TWO THUMBS UP!

The dialogue was infantile and not very good. The classic making of a film for the weak minded. Scenes were short in duration with no time for even a plausible theme or character development. Cinematography was not of average quality. The story began very slowly and when the crew reached the destination of Skull Island it became more ridiculous. In my opinion the original( 1933) was better and the acting was superior. My advice--don`t waste your money.

Please rename this movie King Long. Cause this movie takes a 1 hour story and somehow finds a way to add 2 more hours!?!? WHAT!? Scene upon pointless scene is added to this movie. I mean how many times can you show 5 minutes of a giant gorilla sitting there doing nothing!? Well according to Peter Jackson you can do it at least 10 times in 1 movie. The only thing i cared about is where the heck Billy came from. I love these movies where people die left and right and you see very little effect of it on the survivors are the emotionless robots? I enjoy the movie with my partner,I really enjoy the part after they meet,and she was trying to intertain kong so he would eat her,and once she came exhausted, he still wanted her to continue, and got made when she didn`t,my partner enjoy it as well being and ex navy man,tried to tell them how to reverse the boat,I almost had to slap him. smile,but we enjoy it alot, that I will see it again.

I do not recommend this movie. Every aspect of it was taken WAY to far, and it left us rolling our eyes saying "oh, come on!". Kong was very well done, but overall it was a waste of 3 hours.
