Haven't enjoyed a movie that much in a while.

This was a difficult movie to watch... but excellent in every way! The acting was superlative, completely engaging! The story is based on truth and very important for all of us to remember as we give lip-service to our blessings. Very powerful... totally riveting!

Amazing movie about human resilience. The actors were very good at portraying the agony of war.

The story of Louie Zamperini is brilliantly told here! It is engaging throughout, horrifying in places but always an inspiration of the power of the human spirit. Every aspect of this movie from acting, directing and writing to filming, scenery and realism are stunning. Very few movies make we want to leave the theatre wanting to research more about the story but this wetted my appetite to learn all I could about Mr. Zamperini. Interestingly most of what I found was exactly as portrayed in the movie = well done!! There are many good movies out right now but you will do yourself a disservice if you miss this one on the big screen/sound - it deserves both and your 2+ hours.

Angelina did a great job on this movie. Right from start to finish it had my attention. The acting was right on. Eating the raw sea food was a part I had to cover my eyes but was very real. Excellent. My friend and I were definitely Thumbs UP.

Some of the family scenes appeared familiar and to me were lacking something… however the war and concentration camp scenes were riveting and well acted.

A must go see. Jolie has become such a wonderful director.

This movie was great. I couldn't expect anymore from it and for those who didn't know anything about him (like me) before watching a movie you couldn't get the end before what it would actually happen. I'm usually not the type of war movies but this one didn't make it feel like it was too long which is great since it takes more than two hours. I'm gonna wait for it to go out on dvd to buy it :)

GOOD STORY

As Americans, we are drawn to bravery, courage and heroism. Louis Zamperini has each of these. Angelina Jolie, along with a stellar group of writers, vividly show us how he kept his strength and determination even at the lowest points of his life. Jack O'Connell gives one of the best breakthrough performances in some time.

I give Unbroken 5 stars! Amazing movie!

Liked the movie. It was very intense, which was expected after reading the book. It is hard to depict the atrocities that the POWs actually endured. It would have been a very long movie to capture every detail. Angelina Jolie did a very good job directing this film. The actor cast in the role of Louis Zamperini was outstanding.

I think the director stayed true to Louie's story and did a wonderful job turning it into a film.

This was a 5 star movie. Angelina Jolie did a stellar job directing. The cinematography was right on. No it's not for children, but as an adult it takes you right to being what a Pow was like. Louie's achievements and his will to survive makes me proud to be an American.

Inspirational movie. Loved it. Very moving story. I think Angelina did a brilliant job with this movie and actors were great. Definitely Oscar worthy. Recommended viewing this film.

It was very good. The acting, set design, and action sequences were very well done (hats off to director, Angelina J.) Some of it's hard to watch and it's not for the faint of heart, but I would highly recommend it.

Great show. Props to Angelina Jolie. Too much violence, but it's a real story.

Saw this movie Friday probably the best movie ever made if you haven't seen it yet hurry up and go see it!

Unbroken is (loosely) based on a true story and demonstrates just how far the human body and spirit can be pushed in movie land. The life experience of Louis Zamperini, in this movie is a little over the edge to the point where, while I have no doubt he suffered immensely, I don’t think any human could have physically survived the torture and hardship the character in this movie did. So was there a little embellishment? Very likely, and that generally makes good movies. The acting was really quite good and Angelina Jolie did an amazing job at directing this movie. Add the “feel good” part at the end, and this one is worth seeing. Warning: Do not go if you are tired. The movie is 2 hrs and 17

This is one of those movies where the book is better, but it was certain not awful. Actually, given the nasty comments about Angelina Jolie's abilities in the news, I thought this was a well-directed film, with excellent splicing of different times in Louie's life. As a pilot, I can say that the flight battle scenes were among the best I've ever seen in films. Overall, it's worth seeing.

I loved it... the story is just amazing, I cried the whole time, it's so emotional and sad and good!!! And I just loved it! The story was told very well, and the movie in general was really well done!! I do recommend everyone to see this :)

I smell Oscars here...eXcellent movie ,well directed

This film captured my attention and imagination from the first scenes. I always find tales of others' endurance in the face of almost insurmountable odds amazing. You can never know who will survive hardships - it's all about mental attitude and the sheer will to survive. Angelina Jolie did an admirable job with the script and never got overly maudlin or dramatic. It's about one person's will to keep going when the odds are against you and even nature is telling you to give up. Well acted and shot. This film would appeal to those who like action as well as those who prefer human interest. It has it all. Well done!
