BEST DRAMA OF 2014

This movie was great despite what the critics had to say. I guess if you are not artisitic and do not have the talents of Angelina Jolie you become a critic. That said, the movie was very inspiring and captivated the audience throughout the film. Angelina should be congratulated for producing this epic movie!

Excellent film that celebrates the triumph of the individual human spirit----and that is why some who pan it do not like it ! Is this Jolie's first time to direct, if so, she did a first rate job. I would recommend this film to anyone in this present time where the herd mentality is held, celebrated and encouraged. I walked out of the theater questioning whether I would have the guts to rally that human spirit that can make the difference between victory and defeat.

I thought the movie was well done the acting was excellent. It showed you what war is really like, the producers did a great job. A+, A must see movie!

Unbroken was an amazing movie that was well acted and directed. It's an amazing story and it's fantastic that they brought Olympian Louis Zamperini story to the big screen. I really enjoyed the cinematography in the movie. What a great man Louis Zamperini was and an extraordinary human being. God Bless & Rest in Peace Louis Zamperini.

This is possibly the most inspirational movie I've ever seen I highly recommend it, especially if you're into history.

I did read the reviews before I went and saw that people gave low ratings due to violence. Well, first off, it's a survival movie during WWII. What on earth do you expect? It's also rated PG with violence. Did you expect a musical? That being said, I found it an incredible story and definitely worth seeing. The acting was superb, and the cinematography was incredible. It really portrayed the reality of war in the camps. I felt at awe and shocked at how human beings could treat each other in such a fashion during these times. Angela Jolie did a fantastic job. I kept thinking "God, how much are they going to throw at this guy? "

long boring movie, 45 days surviving on water (felt like 45 days watching), then an hour or so watching someone get beaten. I lost 2 hours of my life I will never get back.

I Hope this is Angelin,s last movie...not much to watch ...the last hour of a very long movie is about beating a man senseless ..no talent required making this movie ..however it sells tickets ...I walked out 15 minutes before the end..an insult to creativity..

well done based on true life but brutal to watch, no real happiness. I am very saddened by the evilness some had toward their fellow man. Also makes me question why history keeps repeating.

Great movie at first I thought it was gonna be bad it was pretty good

I think so far this is the best of Angelina Jolie's movies. Loved the story; story of courage, determination, a strong and beautiful mind. Great cast; great performances. Jack O'Connell, amazing performance. Sometimes this movie brings tears to your eyes, not easy to watch and be indifferent. This movie is a classic, you can watch it more than once. Hopefully it'll win some Oscars.

Amazing all around. Truly inspirational.

The constant torture was relentless to the point of boring. Almost left a few times. Wish it was more about the human spirit before and after the torture. The complete story is a good one, but the redeemable parts have been edited.

This is an extraordinary film that needs to be seen! It makes you appreciate all the more how beautiful your life truly is. This giant of a man teaches us qualities that are rarely found in a person! Be prepared to be humbled like never before...Mr. Zampirini deserves all the medals for bravery and courage!! May you rest in peace!! PS not a fan of Angelina Jolie but a spectacular debut in her directorial talents!!

Excellent movie adaptation of a truly inspiring book. Makes one wonder how people can do such horrible and unspeakable things to each other and the power of the human spirit to survive.

Even though the movie could not possibly include everything that was in the book, it was very true to the book account. Well acted and well directed.

An excellent movie, all aspects of the movie were tremendous. Nice that somebody actually remembered how to make a movie. I highly recommend it.

Great movie; nice to see new faces and the fact that it is based on a true story adds to it for me. The violence is huge but after reading the book, the movie is actually less violent so it goes to show how brutal the Japanese were with their prisoners of war. A must-see for history lovers and like my friend who came with me said "I wish they would have taught us what war is like when I was in school."

I rarely review. This was a must. This story is the bridging of 2 stores, the strength and achievement of a goal hard won and the breaking of a spirit and the strength to survive. It was an amazing experience. Beautifully filmed, smart, intelligent and moving. Viewing a masterpiece is rare, this was a gift. Showing the inner strength of each of us.
