Bohemian Rhapsody posterThe biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, about the iconic rock band Queen, was the top movie at the weekend box office. Starring Rami Malek as lead singer Freddie Mercury, it took in an excellent $50 million in its first weekend.

Debuting in second place was Disney's first release since summer ended -- The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, starring Mackenzie Foy and  Helen Mirren, which earned an estimated $20 million.

Another new film, the comedy Nobody's Fool starring the hilarious Tiffany Haddish and Tika Sumpter, debuted in third place, earning $14 million.

Taking the fourth spot was the musical drama A Star is Born, directed by and starring Bradley Cooper. In its fifth weekend in theaters, the movie took in an additional $11.1 million for a total of $165.6 million at the box office.

Halloween rounded out the top five, bringing in an additional $11 million for a domestic total of $150 million. Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her infamous role as Laurie Strode, who faces off against Michael Myers one more time.

    Fanfriggintastic, Rami was amazing, but the storyline was off a bit here and there, but all and all it still was amazing. Rest in Peace Freddie, thanks for all the great tunes 💖
