Jamie Foxx subjected to racial slur in Croatia Published By Tribute on Feb 22, 2017

Jamie Foxx target of racial slur in CroatiaSo much for a pleasant dining experience.

According to reports, police in Croatia are looking to file misdemeanor charges against two individuals who allegedly hurled a racial slur at Oscar winner Jamie Foxx.

The incident occurred Sunday evening (Feb. 19) at a restaurant in Dubrovnik, one of Croatia's southern destinations.

E! Online writes that police launched a criminal investigation, which established that two men "in a particularly rude and insolent manner insulted the guests and staff catering facility."

The press release from police doesn't specify Jamie as a victim, but the 49-year-old Ray actor addressed the situation through an Instagram story, saying he was the target.

In the now-deleted Instagram post, which was filmed in the restaurant, he said, "They drunk up in here. I came to the table and they banged on us in Croatian."

Jamie was in Dubrovnik filming Robin Hood alongside Jamie Dornan and Taron Egerton. The film is scheduled for a spring 2018 release.

He was evidently enchanted by Dubrovnik's charm as he took to Instagram shortly after the restaurant incident to say his mind was "blown" by the city's beauty.

At least he's not letting the unfortunate encounter tarnish his Croatian experience. ~Matthew Pariselli
