Elsa & Fred

Synopsis

After losing his wife, Fred (Christopher Plummer) moves to a small apartment, where he meets Elsa (Shirley MacLaine), a youthful woman who teaches him to live life to the fullest. The two have a whirlwind romance, despite the protest of their friends and family.

When Fred discovers that Elsa has a terminal illness, he decides to take her to Rome to live out her lifelong dream of reenacting a scene from La Dolce Vita at the Fontana di Trevi.
