Dwayne Johnson has given details about his feud with Vin Diesel on the set of the last Fast & Furious movie, The Fate of the Furious, which released last year.
At that time, rumors were swirling about an on-set feud because of an Instagram post in which he wrote: "Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses."
Dwayne has now opened up about it in the cover story for Rolling Stone's May 2018 edition.
"We were not in any scenes together," he clarified. "Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not."
Although Dwayne is working on a new Fast & Furious spinoff with Jason Statham based on their characters, titled Hobbs and Shaw, Dwayne says he's not sure about doing another Fast & Furious sequel.
“Right now I’m concentrating on making the spinoff as good as it can be," he stated, adding at first that he bears Diesel no ill will, but quickly taking those words back: "I wish him all the best and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have. Actually, you can erase that last part about 'no ill will.' We’ll just keep it with the clarity."
