what a rip, they had De Niro, and they chose to use Bale doing a cheap De Niro imprssion, instead of just letting De Niro do the part. Jennifer was the one shinning spot ( excellent caracter acting )

Excellent movie superb acting by everyone. Anyone who complains about Jennifer Lawrence or Amy Adams and there acting are just jealous of their great looks and incredible talent.

Top notch all the way!! Amazing performances by every member of the cast...no laggards here... and nifty story-line based on the real ABSCAM scam. Blows the vastly over-rated movies like Gravity out of the water! Mixture of crime drama and comedy/black comedy will satisfy all those with a craving to see a great movie.

If you have rated this movie less than a 3, you need to stick to slapstick comedy that requires no thinking. Amazing cast, wonderful dialogue.

Very long and boring in some parts. Jennifer Lawrence sucked in here. needed a shorter film time for the weak story line.

Too long and quite boring! Storyline is very weak. Very foul language. Poor costume design, especially for Amy Adams. Well acted, especially by Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper - both actors sported unique hairstyles! At best a rental (if there's nothing else!) - otherwise stay home, save your $11, and wash your hair. The theatre was empty before the credits finished - that says it all. PS No laughs - a few weak smirks though.

Too much sex too much bad language and both the ladies looked sleezy when they have too much talent to bother with that to get attention.

This could have been a really fun movie if it hadn't been for Amy Adams - too bad she was in so much of it. Why would the director put a wet noodle in low-cut clothing and expect them to perform? Sad. 3 stars because the rest of the cast was great!

I wouldn't even give this film one Star. I actually walked out after about an hour of suffering through this terrible low budget piece of ********* I was completely shocked at how bad it was. I love Amy Adams, I can't believe she did this movie. Just plain bad in every way. I wish I had read a review like this before going and wasting my money and time.

Wow. What a dysfunction-fest! I did enjoy I though, although I went to this film with some apprehension as I did not care for Silver Linings Playbook (same director). It is well-done with great performances from Bale and Lawrence. I did think Amy Adams was poorly cast however and could not carry the outfits she was wearing.

Who's the genius who decided to put the two most annoying actresses on the planet together in the same movie...? Surprised they didn't complete the trifecta by throwing Emma Watson into this distasteful brew as well! Bale is good, however, and his performance keeps this from being a total bust.

Would have been better if the actresses weren't so annoying.

Great acting by all of the cast and great soundtrack for those of us who lived the 70's. But the story -- not so great. I'm giving it a 3 for the acting and soundtrack..... wait for this one on Net Flix.

What a Great Cast and Great Story and What Really Counts a Great Overall Movie. This Movie does nothing but deliver entertainment, all the hype and praise about this movie is well deserved and will Kill at the Oscars in 2014 for sure...You Have to See this Movie...

FABULOUS MOVIE!! Perhaps the best this year!

On the plus side, the acting is very good, particularly Christian Bale. But the title says it all - as the movie finished, I felt I had been hustled. For all its cleverness, its a lot of form without much substance. Decent movie as a time waster.

Excellent...one of the best we have seen this year. Great story, great acting and overall great entertainment. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that we felt the story was stretched a little too long. Otherwise...a must see movie.

Absolutely loved it...Sound track great. Acting extremely good, but considering who was in the movie I would have expected nothing less. I believe Academy Awards contender
