Brokeback Mountain

Brokeback Mountain, to me, is about the process of finding one`s true self. It`s not about how gay people kissing and making out. It`s about how homosexuality has always been in history, but has always been Excluded from it. If you are truly secure about your own sexuality, whether male of female, you would love this movie.

Brokeback Mountain is the best movie of the year because it`s a story about how much two people will go to lengths to be with one another. I really would recommand it to everyone to see it.

I was really dissapointed. Two of the best actor`s in a gay movie is horrible. It makes people think that being gay is okay. Its not. I was dissapointed.

Went and saw it yesterday with my partner. She thought it was a little boring. I thought it was a great movie, I really enjoyed it. Everything about it was excellent. The comments about ...too much gay sex!!....just makes me laugh. Go see it, you might like it !!

this was absolutely the best film i`ve seen in a very very long time. as a straight 22 year old male i was was really uneasy about having to see two guys in a love scene. however, after putting my reservations aside and walking in with an open mind, the movie really got under my skin. this movie isn`t about being gay or straight or bi or whatever label people want to put on the way one person loves another person. what this movie really proves is that our society hasn`t changed all that much in terms of our acceptance of other people. it is one of the greatest love stories ever told and illustrates the tragedy that comes along with denyi

It was a great movie - Gay men represent a significant portion of society and it is great to see the pressure they feel in expressing their feeling for one an other.

I believe that Brokeback Mountain is a true love story that will stand the test of time, providing society views it just as it is. It has nothing to do with the fact that it is two men that have fallen in love....it is a story of how powerful love can be no matter who you are!

This is an amazing movie for those who are mature and possess an open mind. It is not a film about two homosexuals, it is about two people in love... period.

My true friend and I have been together, hiding for 34 years. Yes we even had to move from a home we loved. This movie, its story, its music has touch us deeply. We hope someday society will accept us knowing we also have feelings. We are looking forward for the DVD. Thank you

Brilliant - It`s a movie everyone should see, especially those who wish to discriminate against others for who they love.

This was a movie beyond all boundaries. It touched on what goes unseen and therefore unheard of. This love story was beautifully depicted with all its struggles and peaks. I would recommend this story to anyone wanting to see a movie with emotional depth and incredible scenery. A definite five stars!

Visually a stunning movie and the musical score is also noteworthy. However, overall I was disappointed. I expected a tragic and beautiful love story but it was just mediocre to me. If the movie had been about a man and a woman I would still feel the same way. I think people/critics are impressed with the movie because it shows two straight men acting `gay` - this isn`t enough for me to deem this movie a "best picture" contender come Oscar time.

Of course, I had to weep or cry my way through some parts of this movie! I`ve started to realize that this test tells me not only something about myself, but about the cinematic skills being portrayed in the movie I am watching. The visual stimulation of the actors, actresses, and the beauty of the land; the aural poignancy of the music: superb! Simon

Best love story. Jake Gyllenhaal did a fantaslic job in this film. I saw this movie for almost 10 times and I am going to see it again.

The one thing this film taught me was to never trust the relationship of two men.

Perhaps my view is slightly smeared due to the rather intense gay scene, which I did not enjoy. Honestly I dont think the movie was anything spectacular, and is riding on the gay cowboy theme. I didnt find it to be very romantic at all, except for the intimiate parts they just seemed like two normal buddies hanging out.

its great to see a dignified and realistic portrayal of homosexuals, becuase ive seen too many stereotypes of gay men in comedies

Once I got over the discomfort of watching 2 men in a rough sex act (I brought my 15 year old daughter), I found myself watching a love story. It was beautifully filmed (great views, Alberta!) The end is touching and non-gender specific as far as how the main character reacts to the situation. (great ending!)

Was well done. Scenery was beautiful. A little slow at times but captured the social attitudes of the time so well. A sad story.

Absolute best movie I have seen in ages. I saw it 3 times at the theatre. Can`t wait to own it on DVD. Loved it!

Best film ever.

This was an excellent movie. Extremely well acted, the scenery and photography was marvellous and the storythough sad, was enlightening. A must see. Hope it wins as many awards as it is elected for.

Amazing. Definitely worth seeing. It is tough to be in that position today (married but gay/bi), its hard to imagine how hard it was in the 60`s.

Incredible love story...str8 men could learn a lesson here

I thought it was a fantastic movie. i dont believe that a movie of such great quality like Brokeback Mountain has been made in quite a long time. i thought it was brilliant. It made me cry and most of all i believe it was about two ppls battle with love and broken families then the fact that they were gay.

This was a well brought out movie that deserves a lot of credit to the author, actors and director. Well done!!

Best movie of the year is either this or Memoirs Of A Geisha. For some ridiculous reason Memoirs wasn`t nominated for best picture (or much of anything for that matter) at this year`s Oscars, so Brokeback Mountain better win instead.

this was an amazing movie it is one that will stay in your mind for days after. you would regret not seeing it.
